What are the protests really about?

OK. First it was about George Floyd and police brutality. But then it was about racism, with Confederate Monuments and Memorials as a symbol.

But now its George Washington, Columbus, Ulysses S Grant, abolitionist Matthias Baldwin, Holocaust Memorials, and now even Francis Scott Key. It seems that the mob is bent on destroying history itself, everything not of their own invention, like the Taliban.

What is driving this?

Nihilism? Anarchism? Narcissism?

It certainly isn’t racial equality or justice any more. It is though nothing outside their own narrow millennial experience can be allowed to survive and no other point of view can be tolerated.

I expect we’ll be hearing more about Excited Delirium Syndrome as time goes by. I wish to draw attention to it for the moment mainly to acknowledge that EXD is one of the violent realities police face in the normal course of their jobs.

I don’t know whether EXD can or will be implicated in George Floyd’s death, but it seems to me a more relevant factor than cultural Marxist theories of police brutality, systemic racism and social oppression.

There must be something about it.

No one is happy about Bolton’s book. Both sides of the political divide are upset about one aspect or another. Must be dead on if everyone is PO’ed.

But out of all the outrage from the administration, notice how there is little denial about the veracity of the individual claims. Just a general “he’s a liar”.

Garret Rolfe is a political prisoner

I wish there was a way to link to a radio program.  Mike Imprevento has just given a detailed explanation of how the shooting of Rayshard Brooks was both legal under Georgia law and protected as self defense under the Constitution.

Prosecutor Paul Howard has to know this but has charged the officer for political purposes.

If this goes on, there will be no need to defund the police, there won’t be anyone willing to take the job.

Mr. Trump touts the development of an AIDS vaccine as proof that a vaccine for COVID-19 can be had by the end of the year. Ummmm.

“An AIDS vaccine does not yet exist. “

Let’s be honest we ALL want a vaccine developed that will effectively prevent contracting the Novel Coronavirus. We want it to be safe and effective. We want it as quickly as possible.

What we don’t need is fake cheerleading from the Oval Office and touting things that don’t exist as proof that good things are coming. We know the vaccine is being developed. Could be before the end of the year or early next. Operation WARP SPEED will go as fast as the science allows.
