Dr. Harvey Risch on the war against hydroxychloroquine

Famous professor of epidemiology at Yale says that support for hydroxy cocktail is readily available. And that its use can save over 75,000 lives going forward. ( https://www.foxnews.com/transcript/dr-harvey-risch-on-the-war-against-hydroxychloroquine )

Risch merely confirms what Dr. Zelenko has said for four months. He has himself treated over 2200 patients successfully. He now posts regularly on Twitter. ( His most recent letter to Trump: https://twitter.com/zev_dr/status/1286013832817770498 )

it was clear to me several months ago that no one else needed to die from the virus. It’s amazing the amount of people who want there to be continual plague and pestilence. The Pilot has never mentioned important details about this story. The networks never mention details. If you try to search for information, Google will give you dated links from many months ago.

The effort to keep people in a state of panic is overwhelmingly obvious.

Frequent, Fast, and Cheap is Better than Sensitive

Tabarrok reports: “A number of firms have developed cheap, paper-strip tests for coronavirus that report results at-home in about 15 minutes but they have yet to be approved for use by the FDA because the FDA appears to be demanding that all tests reach accuracy levels similar to the PCR test. This is another deadly FDA mistake.”

I speculate that the cheap paper-strip tests might offer a solution to the face mask problem. It would be helpful to know and to be able to prove quickly that you are not infectious, meaning you don’t need to wear a mask.

The Federal Coup to Overthrow the States and Nix the 10th Amendment Is Underway

Source: The Rutherford Institute.

The principle the essay describes — the expansion of authoritarian federal police powers — is certainly real, but its application to the current wave of insurrectionist protests strikes me as overwrought. We should, instead, be thankful for the deployment of federal police against the rioters.

Cancel Culture: It’s not just a “lefty” thing

Brent Orrell, a senior fellow at AEI, makes the case that cancel culture exists in Trump’s GOP almost as much as on the left.

” Free trade has been Trump’s one departure from orthodoxy, but it has mainly been a rhetorical one, marked by a spasmodic and ineffectual protectionism that seems to have succeeded mostly in inflicting pain on American producers and consumers. The price among Republicans for these policy victories has been the imposition of the ultimate “cancel”: an omerta as it relates to the erratic leadership and unsavory character and behavior of Donald Trump himself. All conservative interests, positions, policies, and fidelity measures have been collapsed into an oath of loyalty to Donald J. Trump.”

Loyalty to Trump over loyalty to TRUE party values and country are quite damaging. As is other CC crapola.

Persuasion: America’s Mission

World Chess champion, Gary Kasparov, writes passionately about what he thinigks is right and wrong about this country.

“The United States is deeply imperfect. But the country and the world will pay a steep price if we allow its flaws to blind us to its achievements and its potential.”

He is no fan of Mr. Trump, but he is a fan of the American promise.

What will they be called?

https://thehill.com/blogs/in-the-know/in-the-know/508717-dc-nfl-team-to-call-itself-washington-football-team-pending

The Washington Football Team needs a new name. This takes time and effort and the time part is kind of off the shelf for this season (IF it is played).

This is NOT about whether it is the right thing to do or not. (I kind of have a clue of who thinks what on that.) This is about the TV market we are in and what the “home” team should be called now.
