Putin says a number of remarkable things in this report of his interview with Rossiya 1 TV, but they all amount to a clear endorsement of Joe Biden for president.
This raises the question: If Biden wins, should we appoint a Special Council to investigate Russian interference in our election and possible collusion between the Biden campaign and the Kremlin?
2) Biden is showing his age, especially if he has to use numbers. People must be figuring it out. If you see a single example of his dementia, you know you shouldn’t vote for such a person. I’ve seen a dozen.
3) Most people said Biden did better than expected in the first debate, probably because he had high-tech assistance and some low-tech assistance. In either case, he cheated. Disgraced former governor Rod Blagojevich said that Biden should be disqualified. Watch video.
One way to think about this story is to note that we live in a “post-ideological age.” That is, the ideas we believe in don’t necessarily define our loyalties.
This isn’t necessarily a good thing. It might be easier, for example, if all people of a certain hair color or stature could be counted on to think the same way. As it is, we have to look past superficialities to know the ideas and values of the people who affect our lives.
Seems that the desperately anticipated Durham “investigation” is coming up with NOTHING supporting Trump’s demented claims. How can we know that? Simple, my dear Watson. It’s release would not be delayed until after the election if there was ANYTHING in it that would validate Trump’s ravings. A dollar against a donut says that Mr. Durham will find and report PLENTY of reasons that the Russian interference activities triggered a national security response.
Pelosi is obviously trolling Donald Trump by bringing this up now. But, the failure of the sycophants in the Trump Cabinet to act when it is so clearly needed highlights the dangerous flaw of the current approach – it assumes that those people in the Cabinet will put country ahead of party or personal interests. Obviously, they don’t. Otherwise, Trump would still be in the hospital where he belongs while taking mood altering drugs.
There is no way that the proposed bi-partisan commission can be implemented before Trump leaves office anyway, but – as Pelosi has pointed out – Trump’s behavior shows that it is something worthy of serious consideration.
Trump’s rants yesterday against Mike Pompeo for his failure to produce the “missing” Clinton emails reminds me of this classic scene from The Caine Mutiny.
Trump is giving away $8 Billion of our money in a desperate attempt to buy the votes of seniors who – compared to 2016 – have largely abandoned him. Congress has not appropriated funds for this boondoggle so it is unclear on what authority this is being done. Thank God Obama never stole taxpayer money like this. Just imagine all the “conservative” heads exploding if he had.
