BLM Supporter Tied to Michigan Gov. Whitmer Kidnapping Plot. Demands Grow for Her to Apologize to Trump

Source: PJ Media.

One way to think about this story is to note that we live in a “post-ideological age.” That is, the ideas we believe in don’t necessarily define our loyalties.

This isn’t necessarily a good thing. It might be easier, for example, if all people of a certain hair color or stature could be counted on to think the same way. As it is, we have to look past superficialities to know the ideas and values of the people who affect our lives.

  1. “…attended a Black Lives Matter protest in June, telling the Oakland County Times he was upset about the killing of George Floyd and police violence.” WAPO article referenced in PJ Media post.

Whether that makes him a “supporter of BLM”, which implies more ties than just showing up at a protest along with thousands of others around the country is kind of a stretch.

White supremacists are anarchists who happen to be racists. They would like to overthrow the government and install a Caucasian Christian one. Or secede. Or ship out all people of color and Jews.

I think PJ Media is throwing a spin on this to make it look like a BLM organization.

What is overlooked is that Trump explicitly encouraged these kinds of actions. #LIBERATE was in direct reference to some of the same yahoos who were in the state Capitol a few months back and then were arrested in this coup conspiracy.

“Stand back and stand by” is also a call to arms for these gangs. So much so that one group made a T-shirt with a new logo and that phrase.

Honestly, what was the writer thinking when he passed over those and demanded an apology from Whitmer?

Trump’s words are literally treasonous. He was calling for the overthrow of a state government and then issuing a clarion call to White thugs.

Sorry, but any other explanation is spin city, but I am open to discussion.

    1. The point is not to establish that the conspirators are Biden supporters,it is that they are not, as Whitmer alleged, Trump supporters.

They are anarchists who are not affiliated with any political party.

      1. 2 or 3 have expressed dissatisfaction with Trump, so they are anti-government thugs like McVeigh.

But the call to arms by Trump through #LIBERATE and “Stand back, Stand by” is a clarion call to these misfits.

Some of the same folks who occupied the State Capitol a few months back are involved in this fiasco.

And face it, #LIBERATE is a call for insurrection by a sitting president. “Stand by” is the mustering of “troops” to carry out this lunacy.
