After Bernie’s Win in Iowa, the Democratic Party Is Shitting Its Pants

Remember how Democrats spent the last 3 years insisting that some Russian social media posts swung the election and represented the gravest electoral interference imaginable? And now we have state party officials in Iowa *literally* changing vote totals.

The DNC would rather see Trump reelected than a Bernie Sanders presidency, even with all the structural limitations they could impose on him.

This is how frightened the GOP is of Trump.

“We’re not censuring him for voting his conscience. We’re censuring him for the positions that he’s taken through this whole process,” Lyman said. “And to send a message that we want to have good relationships with the White House, we want to have good relationships with President Trump.”

Trump turns National Prayer Breakfast into a political rally.

Statements such as this ““As everybody knows, my family, our great country and your president have been put through a terrible ordeal by some very dishonest and corrupt people. They have done everything possible to destroy us and by so doing very badly hurt our nation,” Mr. Trump told an audience of religious leaders and followers. “They know what they are doing is wrong, but they put themselves far ahead of our great country.”” are indicative of the way he projects the things HE himself has done onto others who oppose him.

I’m not particularly worried about the weaponization of space. It is inevitable for the same reasons the weaponization of the seas occurred during the Age of Exploration. The consequences will likely be roughly the same, as well: the emergence of transformative technologies and vast wealth with relatively little actual warfare in the new domain itself.

Thus, I share the link for the encouraging news it represents.

Chuck Grassley begins Hunter Biden investigation

I came across a curious speculation earlier today that Joe Biden’s only purpose in running for president may have been to establish the pretext for Trump’s impeachment. There is, of course, no good reason to believe such a thing at this point.

No good reason at all. Nope. Also, Lunch-bucket Joe is way too smart to have been set up. There is zero evidence — nada, zip — that he might be feeble-minded.

ZeroHedge: Matt Gaetz Files Ethics Complaint, Criminal Referral Request Against Nancy Pelosi For Tearing Up SOTU Speech

Tidewater Forum may have been the first to break this story, since we had a post yesterday asking the question, “Did Nancy Pelosi break the law?” Now it appears the question will be formally addressed.

The Virginan-Pilot is downsizing. Major media are echoing away into irrelevance. It would seem we are the news.

The Future of Freedom Foundation: Do We Need the First Amendment?

The writer of the link makes a constitutional point that is in some ways remedial. That is, many people believe, wrongly, that it is a founding principle of our country that human rights are given by government.

The idea that rights pre-exist government or the Constitution strikes such people as unfathomable. When challenged, they are likely to say that human rights are limited, especially that society at large has superceding interests that must constrain the natural rights of individuals.

Hogwash. The whole concept of America is that individual human rights are unalienable.

Kind of puts a damper on the #757 marketing plan announced last month.

While the idea of using #757 to assist in marketing the area was a good idea, it will start excluding new numbers sooner rather than later.

Too bad it took so long to come up with the idea. If it had started 5 years ago, it may have been a better outcome. COVA anyone?
