Here is a leading Republican ex-governor and now a candidate for the United States Senate in Missouri going after fellow Republicans. His Republican primary opponents are not just wrong on the issues, or won’t spread the Big Lie, or just not as qualified as he is. Oh, no! They are corrupt and cowardly, and it will take guns to get the country back from them. Republicans!
But go ahead “MAGA crew” – say that liberals have no sense of humor and blame Hollywood or video games for gun violence in our country.
First Hunter’s laptop, then Ashely’s diary, drug addicted kids seem to lose track of stuff.
But worse than what’s in the diary, is the use of the FBI to attack journalists to hide it.
WUWT More proof that wood pellets are bad
The evidence is overwhelming that using wood pellets for generating electricity does only harm, but like ethanol, it has a constituency that will defend it politically until the last tree is gone.

Among the foolish things we hear from time to time is the claim that government policies are not to blame for the high prices consumers experience at the gas pump. Coronavirus did it, we are told, or Putin did, or corporate greed, or etc. Whatever did it, it wasn’t the angry bird in the Oval Office or his flock.

I am very glad to see this story. It amplifies a point I made in a post not long ago where I said, If you want to understand economics, put money out of your mind. The real economy is the economy of goods, meaning their production and consumption.

I have mentioned several times that one of the consequences of the war in Ukraine may be a fundamental restructuring of the global economy — to the disadvantage of the U.S. and Europe. The present essay explains (better than I could) how this might happen.
The article also points out predicted inflation for those countries. Although it varies, all are higher than pre-pandemic.
In my opinion, it seems as if it is not solely our problem and probably won’t be solely our solution. Global economics is here to stay no matter how we might try to isolate ourselves.
