Trump’s Diverse Coalition Buried Obama’s Race-Baiting Politics

Source: Frontpage Mag.

That President Trump received expanded support among minorities this cycle is perhaps the most encouraging news to come out of this otherwise dreary election. One way to summarize it: Heterosexual white males lose power as a voting block. A better way to summarize it: Heterosexual white males who virtue signal on racial and ethnic politics begin to be ignored as irrelevant.

Something maybe we shuld all consider

Got this from one of The Bulwark newsletters (with permission to share, I might add) today. I found it thoughtful and thought provoking. I hope you all do as well.

A bit of advice to whoever wins

Reason – Don’t claim a mandate

Whoever wins, will do so by a hair, and will face a divide Congress and a divided nation.

This is not the time to take the country in a radical direction in either direction. The next President should approach the task with humility and due respect for their opponents.

Former President Obama’s greatest mistake was to try to remake the healthcare system with a narrow victory, and it cost him control in the next midterm. If Biden wins, it will only be because COVID destroyed the public confidence in Trump, not because the country wants to rush to socialism. If Trump wins, he should realize that his careless speech was offensive to so many.

We Will See

Either the overwhelming enthusiasm we see for Mr Trump is fake, or the mainstream media is fabricating fraudulent poll numbers. We will see.

Regardless of who wins, I look forward to whatever the future brings. For my success does not depend on any politician. (It’s easy to find a way around them.)

Dr. Schwab is Dr. Disturbingly Influential, not Dr. Evil.” But I have Hannah Arendt in mind when I contemplate such things. I think she would describe the Great Reset as the epitome of her famous phrase, the banality of evil.

GOP is now officially the party of chickenshit.

https://www.npr.org/2020/11/02/930365888/federal-judge-dismisses-effort-to-throw-out-drive-through-votes-in-houston

I refer – this time – to their attempt in state and federal court to throw out 127,000 Houston ballots because they were cast in those early voting drive-thru set-ups to minimize the spread of the virus. They lost in the Texas Supreme Court and have now lost in Federal Court. Next stop could be SCOTUS where Trump thinks he has the votes to overturn the choice of the people. We will see.
