PM FBI seizes Mike Lindell’s phone
Now there’s a warrant I want to see. What probable cause could there be? Selling overpriced slippers? Continue reading “Biden is starting to look a lot like Putin(just less competent)”

Stephen Moore Why is the Left Always Afraid?
I think H L Mencken answered his question before any of us was born.
“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.” Continue reading “The Politics of Fear”
DOJ subpoenas Trump allies for being Trump allies
Now the Jan 6 probe has been expanded to intimidate anyone who donates significantly to Trump’s PAC. This is blatant political intimidation and violation of the 1st Amendment.
So, Trump took all his bullshit about Clinton, Comey, and the FBI conspiring against him to create the “Russia Collusion Hoax” and wrapped it in a lawsuit filed in a Florida Federal Court. The judge has now thrown it out for two important reasons – (1) No coherent legal theory and (2) No evidence. Whoops.
Will such a significant failure to prove ANY of his claims cause his supporters to actually stop and think about the nonsense they keep spreading? Almost certainly not.
This discussion took place on live state television in Russia. Some of the participants stuck to the party line about purging the Ukraine of Nazis but others were brave enough to speak the truth – there will be no easy victory as they were promised going in. And, if it becomes a global war, Russia will lose.
The not so latent threat from the bearded Putin supporter is quite chilling to watch. As is the implied threat of a nuclear attack on Ukraine by the moderator. One hopes that Nadezhdin and Olevich do not get defenestrated as many others have been for failing to support Putin.
Tulsi Gabbard warns of the weaponization of bureaucracy
Gabbard is the only Democrat who speaks up against the dire changes Obama and Biden have made in our Republic. The IRS, DHS and DOJ are being used to grasp and hold power. This is not the country we grew up in, when Nixon tried a fraction of what Biden has made routine, he was an instant pariah. At least Nixon hired private goons to do his illegal searches.
And in addition, the EPA has brought back “Sue and Settle” to bypass its own rulemaking procedures, blocking even the handful of legally mandated oilfield lease sales.
And a complacent, partisan press looks the other way as the Rule of Law is shredded.
Examiner VA Dems tie us to CA Titanic
Magical thinking and virtue signaling are not a basis for energy policy.
California is a cautionary tale, not a guide to rational policy. VA Dems should be consigned to third party status for not seeing that.

I persist in believing there has been less racism in the USA throughout its history than is generally assumed. This is not to say that the violent racism we all know about didn’t exist. Rather, I think we overestimate it.
If I could find the words to do so, I would suggest that the oppressions of slavery and Jim Crow were never as powerful in our society as the many equalities that ordinary human relationships produce.

A sad day for British brothers and sisters.
On a personal note, my beloved step-mother portrayed The Queen in the short lived Broadway show, DIANA: THE MUSICAL. Fans loved the show; critics hated it. But she loved every minute of her involvement and the opportunity to portray, even in a slightly farcical form, one of the greatest monarchs of all time.
God, Save the Queen!
“Rates of Black lynching decreased with greater Black firearm access.”
Well yeah, isn’t this to be expected?
The older I get and the more I learn of black social history in the USA, the less I am inclined to think of slavery and Jim Crow as the most defining events.
