Taking “The Federalist” to task for its “trutherism”.

Robert Tracinski, author of “ So Who Is John Galt, Anyway? A Reader’s Guide to Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged.” and reportedly the 4th writer hired by the Federalist, writes about how badly The Federalist, the conservative version of The Atlantic, is pushing coronavirus trutherism.

Yes, he was fired, but that was because he wasn’t “Trumpy enough”. Sounds to me like The Federalist follows the Trump model for filling his administration.

Another attempt to avoid responsibility

https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/12/politics/fact-check-mcconnell-obama-trump-game-plan/index.html

SEN McConnell (R-KY) claims that the previous administration left no “game plan” for a pandemic response. In actuality, there was a 69 page “playbook” that could have been used for a reference to address the government’s response.

“A current NSC official, whom Politico quoted anonymously, described the 2016 document as “quite dated.”” But why ignore it and not use it as a baseline for an updated response? Because it came form the Obama administration?

“Twisted” ain’t just a remake of the Rapunzel story.

Used the Axios story because it includes a link to the op-ed piece for those who want to read it in its entirety.

Mary McCord tells the true story behind the Flynn interview. And while she acknowledges there were differences of opinion concerning how to proceed, she make it clear the interview itself was “material” because of the newer information concerning Flynn’s phone conversation with Kisliyak.

Eleven Legal Scholars on the decision to drop the charges against Flynn

https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2020/5/8/21251827/michael-flynn-russia-investigation-barr-trump-doj

“Highly unusual” to WTF. It is obvious to those in the know that Barr’s actions in this case are puelry political and go against the rule of law in this country.

“This is a pardon disguised as a technical legal matter.” Yeah. That pretty much sums is up.

Dysfunction, thy name is Trump Administration

https://www.axios.com/trump-coronavirus-drug-remdesivir-hospitals-pharmacies-86ad5bd0-d1ba-47dc-97f2-b19cc97603f4.html

So remdesivir, the new treatment for Corona, was ordered by the administration and then shipped to the “less impacted counties,”, as opposed to the areas that are in desperate need.

And then the usual response: “Some went to the wrong placessome went to the right places,” said one senior official. “We don’t know who gave the order. And no one is claiming responsibility.“”

This administration will go down as the least responsible in history. No one EVER knows who is responsible for its foul ups. And the ones that do get blamed usually have no idea they were involved in the first place.

Sour grapes or legitimate concerns?

Refusing to do the political will of the administration cost Dr. Bright his position. Political will and cronyism in the time of pandemic. This is our President, America. Congratulations.

And the T-supporters are going to say it is just sour grapes for a demoted doctor. Pay attention to the truth and you will see clearly that he was removed because he would not toe the administration line. Politics and cronyism, thy name is Donald J. Trump and your “very best people”. Which round of those are we on now?

Farewell to a Legend

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/29132028/dolphins-hall-fame-coach-don-shula-dies-90

I grew up watching Shula’s Dolphins be the dominant team for many years, usually heartbreaking as a Steelers fan.

People today say that Bill Belichik is the greatest coach ever. He’s on the Mt. Rushmore of coaches with Halas, Lombardi, and Shula. But I put Shula ahead of him because of the era he coached in as compared to today.

Plus the steakhouse is pretty good, too.
