Last year, Forbes concluded that “only 16% of adults in the U.S. say they have a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in newspapers, and just 11% said the same for television news.” Anyone confronting these stats must conclude that our media are deeply incompetent or crooked or both.
The New York Times announced a few years ago that defeating Trump was the important thing. They gave themselves a free pass to lie all they want. How can they now reclaim their honor or their usefulness?
Real journalists, when they hear an assertion, immediately try to determine whether the assertion is true or false. This is also what scientists do. It’s honest, valuable work.
Unfortunately, our liberal journalists do not care about true or false. When they hear an assertion, they try to determine whether it will help their agenda…their narrative.
If it won’t help, they know they must attack the assertion, typically by declaring it debunked, fake news, or misinformation.

To fight pornography in the schools, a Texas housewife recently appeared at a school-board meeting. She lectured the officials: “I do not want my children to learn about anal sex in middle school. … I want you to start focusing on education, not public health.”
Education, as we’ll see, is the first refuge of scoundrels. Do you imagine that this school board is hip and cutting-edge? In fact, liberals have had few new ideas in more than a century. During World War 1, the communist government of Hungary “imposed a system of pornographic sex education on Hungarian school pupils.” Ever since, communists have tried the same pervy tricks again and again.
During World War 1, the deputy people’s commissar for culture and education was an extreme Marxist named György Lukács, then considered the most brilliant communist since Marx himself. He advocated promiscuity, denounced the family, and encouraged children to mock their parents and religion. The question Lukács posed was, “Who will save us from Western civilization?”
Marxist theory circa 1900 said that if Europe ever erupted in war, the working classes in every European country would rise in revolt and create a new communist Europe. Instead, the workers in every country lined up by the millions to fight their country’s enemies.
Why is Marxist theory incorrect? Two leading Marxist intellectuals, Antonio Gramsci in Italy and Lukács in Hungary, independently came up with the same answer. They said that Western culture and the Christian religion had so blinded the working class to its true, Marxist class interests, that a communist revolution was impossible in the West until both could be destroyed. That objective, established as cultural Marxism’s goal at the beginning, has never changed.
When WWI was over, Marxists set about devising strategies specifically aimed at conquering Western civilization, which is still their main obsession.

Bruce Deitrick Price: The big problem for all of us is to grasp the entirety of your work. So my first question is, what is the broad concern that ties together all this research?
Linda Goudsmit: The most important thing is to realize that globalism is at war with the nation-state. I am talking about globalism as an ideology and political force that seeks to reorder the world from the existing system of independent nation-states into one single global nation-state ruled by themselves, of course. But globalism cannot succeed without collapsing the United States. So we face an alliance of convenience among the far-left progressives, Deweyites, socialists, Marxists, doctrinaire communists, totalitarians — all advancing their own anti-American agendas in common cause. If you oppose them, you are a threat who must be crushed.
BDP: Yes, that sounds right. So tell us how the aggressors operate….

When Governor Gavin Newsom disappeared for a few weeks after receiving a COVID shot, the public worried: was he alive? His wife did not like this curiosity. You might think citizens have a right to know where their leaders are. Nope. She viewed the nosy public as haters.
Mrs. Newsom posted: “When someone cancels something, maybe they’re just in the office working; maybe in their free time they’re at home with their family, at their kids’ sports matches, or dining out with their wife. Please stop hating and get a life.”
Hating? Who was hating?

On a regional Mensa forum, I posted analysis of problems in education. To my delight, an indignant parent left her assessment of how bad our schools have become. First-person reports from the trenches are the most reliable intelligence you can get about this murky and unintelligent demimonde:
“I read your article and couldn’t agree more. I have lived it with my twins for the last 13 years. I nearly cried when we moved from a NYC public school to a school district in an affluent part of NJ only to find out they had the same mind-numbing constructivist Math program (TERC, Everyday Math, etc.)….As someone who loved Math in school, I couldn’t believe how much I hated and was confused by their math homework. There were many tears and much throwing of pencils across the room….”
People not familiar with our K-12 situation will find this a quick way to catch up.
See short article on American Thinker.
Too much lying, right from the beginning. Reminds me of Dr. Mann and his hockey stick.
Fauci et al drastically inflated the number of cases. Fauci et al put every death in the covid column that could possibly be put there. People stopped dying from heart attack, stroke, diabetes, and falling off a roof.
Every stupid mistake that could be made was made. Putting sick people in nursing homes. Putting ventilators in people when it would kill them. Most egregiously, prohibiting American citizens from trying remedies that have proved effective in many, many thousands of cases.
Furthermore, all the media, our little sicko media, coordinated a fear campaign so people were afraid to leave the house.
The big news today is that the scam seems to be falling apart, as this article reports.
The Government and CDC Are Lying About COVID-19 Vaccine and Ivermectin; The Question Is Why?
Wayne Allyn Root
PS: the giveaway for me, admittedly one of many, was that Fauci and his gang were so inappropriately ruthless when anything threatened their game. Remember the weird attacks on hydroxy. The media reported that Trump told people to inject bleach into their veins. That sort of nonsense went on for months as they tried to make people stay home and wait for a vaccine. The attack was picked up again when many doctors reported success with ivermectin. Dr. Zelenko explained the options in March of 2020. Everything he said made sense to me. Virtually nothing that Fauci said made sense. Fauci was like the election, the Biden candidacy, the vote count, the insurrection, the rush from Afghanistan, our lying media, and duplicitous Democrats generally. It’s shocking the number of people on this site who describe Fauci (and Biden) as decent and well-meaning.
“Here’s the problem with communism (and sometimes socialism). If you study these subjects, you will encounter lots of abstract theories about how best to organize society, money, property, and so on. Some ideas might sound appealing. But they have little to do with communism as this ideology has existed in the real world.
Better to think of these theories as maps and guidebooks for people who want to rule others. Communism appeals to dead souls hungry for power. These are not normal, healthy people…..”

…from my recent article on American Thinker.
I found that a foreign site has listed the article with the option of having it read to you.
I’m not sure it’s legal but it’s interesting. This site has also listed many other articles
that seem mostly to be on the conservative side.
A few thoughts about the article which appeared Wednesday on American Thinker, a prestigious conservative site for those who don’t know:
One: It’s a good article; I hope everyone will read it. But the thing that really impressed me was the comments, now at 80. They’re typically smart and well-informed. So, to anyone puzzled by what’s going on in the public schools and pressed for time, I say, skip the article and read a few dozen comments. You will learn a lot about the depressing reality that both parents and students must contend with. It is a nightmare. Simple problems are made complicated. Children figure out how to do something but their answer doesn’t count because it’s not done in the bogus way commanded by the school authorities. (The people behind this thing are best understood as ideological fanatics.)
Two: With an assist from Abbott and Costello, this article attempts to be somewhat amusing. Comedy is difficult and not even esteemed on American Thinker. But I like to try because I persist in believing that K-12 education is a comedy gold mine. I keep wondering why SNL has not figured this out. It’s not simple ha-ha humor. It’s graveyard humor. It’s chaos and catastrophe humor. It’s the kind of humor so common in Russia as the people were ground down by the Communist Party.
Three: Point is, education reformers have to try every trick and tactic. There is massive cooperation, let’s say, between the school system, media, foundations, higher education, government agencies, etc. This is what people in the mixed martial arts call a chokehold. The United States of America is in a chokehold. I think what we need most of all is education about education. The people who run our communities should know why sight-words are a bogus method, Common Core is foolishness, and Constructivism is a silly gimmick. Is there anybody in Tidewater who can evaluate those assertions? Is there anybody on the local paper who understands these things? Does anyone in the Republican Party understand why our K-12 system is so in love with mediocrity? Sadly, I don’t think so. If I’m wrong, I would like to see those people step forward. I think the Pilot is obligated to report in depth. I think the Republican Party is too passive. We need fighters.
