Just in, still reading.
And now this. . .
The two creeps who stole Ashley Biden’s diary and sold it to Project Veritas in 2020 have plead guilty to the theft and to criminal conspiracy. If you will recall there was a lot of whining from “conservatives” when a search warrant was served on Project Veritas in connection with the investigation of this crime. The message then was the same as the message now. The FBI is corrupt not the criminals they are investigating.
Whether this is the end of the case or only the next step towards holding Project Veritas accountable is unclear, but one of the felons is cooperating with the investigation.
This guilty plea confirms that the property was not “abandoned” as many “conservatives” tried to spin when the story first broke.
To be fair and balanced, I should mention that the Trump campaign understood immediately that it was stolen and refused the offer to buy it. Project Veritas had less scruples, forked over $40,000 and sent the two back to steal some more.

Et Tu, National Review!
National Review columnist Andrew McCarthy reacts to the NARA letter of May 10, 2022 released by Trump supporter, John Solomon. From the article. . .
“Given that the former president was not responsibly securing the government’s most closely held intelligence, that he was trying to prevent the FBI from examining what he’d returned, that his lawyers were either misinformed about or lying about the classified information still retained at Mar-a-Lago, and that even the issuance of a grand-jury subpoena (with potential criminal penalties for noncompliance) had not succeeded in getting Trump to hand over the remaining classified information, what option short of a search warrant would have sufficed?“
He also makes clear that President Biden’s limited involvement in the sorry affair was required by the provisions of the Presidential Records Act . . .
“If, as appears to be the case, it was appropriate for the FBI to conduct this review of Trump records, then the PRA mandated Biden’s approval and his review of any Trump privilege claims. As a result, there is very little upside for Trump in emphasizing Biden’s collaboration with the Justice Department.”
Not exactly “political” nor a “witch hunt.”
Once again, Trump’s legal problems are 100% his own doing.

Half a trillion to buy votes?
WSJ Freelink Redistribution to the wealthy
Leaving aside the morality of indebting those who did not incur debts to buy the votes of those who did, where does Biden get the authority, absent an act of Congress, to give away half a $trillion of the public’s money. Even Pelosi says he doesn’t have the authority.
Go ahead, tell me how this isn’t wrong.

It’s pretty clear Garland knows he doesn’t have a case he can present in court, and has to be satisfied with playing partisan games in the press.
If only we had an honest press to blow the whistle on this.
