I appreciate the Mom’s position and concerns, but Ms. Dougherty is right in my view. The Mom here is guilty of false compassion. The police have no choice but to take the boy away.
A bill gets past McConnell, with irony.
Apparently it is much easier to honor victims of our gun culture than it is to address solutions.
90% of Americans want better background checks, but McConnell and now the flip/flop president won’t hear of it.
NICS is hugely flawed since the database is not solid. Data is often missing, inadequate or wrong. Enforcement of purchase violations is non-existent. Red flags are ignored.
Not that Mr. Cox doesn’t deserve a memorial like this. However, I am sure he, his family, friends and co-workers would much prefer another birthday celebration.
