Kevin Williamson makes a crucial point succinctly: “It’s a complex issue, but when 7 percent of your expected power represents 40 percent of your lost power, that is a significant fact.”
I suspect most Americans are not well informed about continuity of government plans that are already in place. This Newsweek piece serves an educational purpose in that context.
Still, I can’t help noting an ambiguity. That is, the existing plans as described in the article could, conceivably, be implemented without public announcement. Martial Law could be in effect without anybody noticing.
I doubt such a wild improbability has occurred, but you never know. Have fun.

Never agreed with him or some of his antics. However, my wife did listen to him in the car when out and about and she made a point of telling me any time a caller would start off on some rant that was, for lack of a better word, BS, and he would cut the individual off and tell them there were off base. Maybe he got a little gentler as his illness progressed? It does happen.
It is sad when anyone passes. Even someone some find as disagreeable as Mr. Limbaugh

Texas utilities have gone in big for wind power, getting as much as 42% of base load from turbines. On the face, Texas is well suited for wind power, with open planes and nearly constant wind. And, of course, heavy subsidies.
