How and Why Men and Women Differ in Intelligence

Source: The Unz Review.

In my household the superior intelligence of women (over men) is a fact of life. The observation is validated by experience, which is to say that the scientific method applies in my home.

The article at the link seems to suggest that my familial experience is false. The article claims that men as a group have higher measurable intelligence than women.

I have my doubts. As an evolutionary strategy, it is probably better for women to be smarter than men, and not tell us.

Different strokes for different folks?

Chris Cuomo got fired from CNN (rightly so, I might add) for assisting his brother in a crisis (of his own making).

Fox News Hosts provide assistance and guidance to Mr. Trump, WHILE IN OFFICE, and they probably WILL get a raise. If they already haven’t.

For those who regularly blast the so-called MSM on this forum, I wonder what the excuses are for this being OK at Fox, but not OK at CNN.

Chaos In Kazakhstan

Source: The American Conservative.

I know nothing about Kazakhstan, except that one of the throw rugs in my house presumably came from there. The country’s politics are obscure to me to the point of opacity. Still, Kazakhstan’s current turmoil strikes me as concerning.

The linked article mentions an eyewitness’s claim that the riots appear to be orchestrated by criminals or gangs. While not definitive, this suggests the possibility of outside influences attempting a color revolution. I can’t imagine what the ultimate motive might be.

Of course

Biden Admin greenlights racial rationing of therapeutics

NY and MN have, with FDA approval, set Hispanic ethnicity and non-white race as stand alone risk factors in distributing the scarce therapeutics for COVID, without requiring any other co-morbidities. Other woke states will follow.

That means in an environment where we don’t have enough for the high risk patients to begin with, they will now have to compete with perfectly healthy young people for those scarce doses based on race alone.

Thank the deity of your choice that Northam only has 6 more days.

Youngkin, UVa COVID Policy on a Collision Course

Source: Bacon’s Rebellion.

The story leads with: “Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin and Attorney General-elect Jason Miyares announced today their intention to challenge Biden-administration vaccine mandates through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, OSHA, and Head Start.”

Thank goodness. There are no good arguments for Covid vaccine mandates.

Political violence and Trump’s reactions on January 6, 2021

Source: American Thinker.

Memes are a lousy way to understand current events. There is a particular meme that illustrates the problem. It is the narrative that President Trump unleashed an angry mob to attack the Capitol on J6, then did nothing to stop the riot, ignoring all entreaties to do so.

I have seen conspiracy theories that claim Covid-19 is really influenza or the common cold, just given a special name so as to cook up a political takeover of all of humanity. The idea seems both farfetched and not-farfetched to me. The essay at the link puts some of those conspiracy theories out of their misery.
