Virginia Hasn’t Stopped Noncitizens From Voting, Watchdog Finds
A check of 8 of Virginia’s 133 counties and cities revealed that over 1000 non-citizens registered to vote, casting almost 200 ballots over a 10 year period. No one has checked the other 125 localities.
If the pattern is similar in the other localities, that is enough to have affected the outcome of some close statewide elections.

So, homeowners in Okracoke are upset that they aren’t getting a taxpayer bailout on flood damage from Hurricane Dorian. It appears that many, if not most, chose not to purchase flood insurance.

Be on the lookout
OK, I’ve noticed something curious on TV lately that isn’t important but has aroused my curiosity.
In the background of a number of Network series, Netflix programs and several commercials, flocks of impossibly large birds fly by in silhouette. When you take into account perspective, they would have to be the size of small to medium airplanes, so they aren’t real, they are an added effect.
They play no part in the commercial or program, they are just briefly visible.
Is that some kind of inside joke by the video people? Or a signature for some effects company? Or just decoration?
