The company chose to settle rather than allow discovery of internal documents on how they marketed their assault weapons. What does that tell you about how they marketed those weapons?

The answer – given the large settlement despite the laws shielding them – is pretty clear. Irresponsibly. That’s how.

So, Youngkin has given an important role to a person who thinks a race-based twitter attack on a H.S. student is the way to respond to criticism. Oh, wait, it was not even criticism. Seems the teenager had the gall to retweet a news report from NPR that the Youngkin people thought was unflattering.

If that ugly attack tweet was “unauthorized” what has become of the staffer who did it?

Vaccines Slow Transmission of Omicron

Some on this forum have steadfastly maintained that vaccination does not affect the transmission of the Omicron variant. You know who you are.

Now we will see if clear evidence that you are wrong can change your mind. CDC has been tracking data by full vaccination status and has just released what it has for the last two months of 2021 when the Omicron variant was by far the predominant strain (95%). Here are the results.

The data shows significant increases for all groups as the year ended but with the vaccinated and boosted at much lower levels than the unvaccinated. In November, unvaccinated adults aged eighteen and over had 13x the risk of testing positive for Covid and 68x the risk of death from Covid compared to those fully vaccinated and boosted.

The conclusion from such data is undeniable. Vaccination not only makes Omicron infection less severe; it also greatly reduces the risk of becoming infected. The infected spread the disease to others. Say goodbye to yet another reason to avoid vaccination and to oppose lifesaving public health mandates.

Breaking News: Covid Vaccines Work!

I am not sure if this is paywalled or not. Covid coverage often is not.

The main point is that the CDC has been tracking booster effectiveness since October 3. Data from Oct and Nov 2021 shows the unvaccinated DIED at a rate of 7.8 deaths per 100,000 PER WEEK. The comparable rate for the vaccinated was 0.6 and for the boosted – wait for it – 0.1. In short, you were 78x more likely to die if unvaccinated vs the boosted.

The story also covers new polling of adults from the Kaiser Family Foundation on vaccination vs political affiliation.

Unvaccinated: Democrats = 9% Republicans = 36%.

Boosted: Democrats = 62% Republicans = 32%.

There are more Republicans unvaccinated than there are Republicans fully protected. That is insane.

Finally, the article includes this tragic statistic: “Dr. Peter Hotez, a vaccine expert at the Baylor College of Medicine, estimates that in the second half of last year, 200,000 Americans needlessly lost their lives because they refused Covid vaccines.”

Covid lies and misinformation are murderous. It is that simple.
