It is simple, really.

Anyone who cheerleads for violent insurrection cannot be trust to enforce the law. When you have decided to be another Trump enabler – as our new Governor has decided to be – this is the quality of the “best people” you can get to work for you.

  1. I’m guessing you didn’t read your own story seeing as how it doesn’t support your empty anti-Youngkin bellowing one iota.

  2. So?

    Nothing more.

Just pointing out the kind of people who have surrounded the new Governor. The new AG is cut from the same cloth.

You people may think referring to the people attempting the violent overthrow of the government as “patriots” as this woman does as a good thing. I don’t.

You people may think a call to arms like this one: “Patriots are not taking this lying down. We are awake, ready and will fight for our rights by any means necessary.” is a good thing. I don’t.

The fact that this woman is now gone is a small sign that – maybe – the center can hold after all. We will see.

I feel the same way when today’s Republicans explain anything.

A new ad to run during the Super Bowl shows a Trump hopeful targeting Mark Kelly by shooting him and two Democrats. Kind of beyond the gun totin’ Christmas card since Kelly is Gabby Giffords husband.

Patriots? Sure. At the tea party…in both the rabbit hole and Congress. Up is down as we dance around.

      1. @Lennart….Have you even seen the ad/commercial? I have and nobody gets shot. It’s just a parody of an old western movie/center of the main street gunfight. Actually it’s Kelly’s group that draws their weapons first and the “Trump hopeful” (I don’t know his name) shoots the weapons out of their hands. The only person that could shoot like that would be Clint Eastwood in one of his spaghetti westerns. I don’t know of anyone who would view that skit and take it seriously.

        1. Sure, it’s meant to be funny. The problem is that it is not. Especially in Arizona where it is targeting the husband of a Congresswoman gunned down by a right-wing fanatic.

Our political discourse and political ads are bad enough without bringing gunplay into them. You may not know anyone who would take it seriously, but it still works to plant the idea of violence into weak minds.

For reference, here is the ad in question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOb1AXX5hsU

        2. Take it seriously? I agree that few would consider it to be more than theater.

Yet, considering how some folks seem hostile to politicians who are Democrats and that we tend to shoot each other more than many nations, it was a poor choice of metaphor in my opinion.

I still think the Christmas card tweet from a politician to his thousands of constituents showing the whole family holding high powered guns was in very bad taste considering our mass shooting record.

Maybe it is just me, but using firearms in political ads for office is willful blindness to a serious issue we have with guns and the ease of access by the mentally ill, gangs and children. IMO

    2. YOU people have lost control of yourselves with all of these wild accusations and generalizations. Yep, the lefty loony lane Choo Choo has definitely left the station.

      1. “YOU. . .”

So, why did the governor hand this “patriot” her ass?
I will tell you why. Trying to claw his way back to respectability. Sorry, Guv. THAT train left the station when you sidled up to Trump to win the GOP primary.

That’s the way I see it, too. The nature of the problem is too hard to explain without giving insult, but the sense of it is this: There is never anything “good” about being a “good German.”

        1. You people with your total lack of self-awareness is quite amazing. What you people call “wild accusations” and generalizations are simple and obvious truths. Here are a few:

DT is a lifelong scofflaw, sex offender, tax cheat and criminal.
DT built his political brand on racism and division.
The election of 2020 was NOT stolen. The loser lost. Bigly.
Vaccines, masks and social distancing protect people.

“We all were here. We saw what happened. It was a violent insurrection for the purpose of trying to prevent the peaceful transfer of power after a legitimately certified election, from one administration to the next. That’s what it was” – Mitch McConnell

That you have been so easily and eagerly duped and believe all sorts of certifiable nonsense makes it clear that your divorce from reality is pathological. And yet you keep trying to find something wrong with everybody else whose only sin is looking reality in the face.

If you want to see who has lost control of themselves, look in the mirror. There he is.

      3. I wonder which wild accusations you are referring to? That a mob attacked the Capitol in order to overturn the lection? That Trump was involved in the effort to overturn the election through nefarious legal attempts? Or that you may possibly be a closeted homosexual?
