Teacher’s strikes. In 12 years of public schooling in PA, I went through 3 strikes, including one my senior year of high school. In that case, we walked out the day before and marched on the school district building calling for the teachers’ demands to be met. The day after the strike began, i was on an airplane to West Palm Beach to visit the grandparents for a week. (Mom’s ides, not mine.)

Honestly, there is a reason for toilet paper shortages and it apparently isn’t hoarding anymore.
It was a good fight. It was fair. Apparently, he knew enough about the outcome in Wisconsin that he saw no path forward.
Now, Bernie, it is up to you to stand by what you said, “Look, if I lose this thing, Joe wins,” Sanders said in their only one-on-one debate. “Joe, I will be there for you.”, and get your supporters to also line up behind Biden and win the Oval Office back.

Turnout kills Republicans. They even admit it. “Georgia House Speaker David Ralston (R) made a similar argument last week, claiming that widespread use of absentee mail-in voting would “be extremely devastating to Republicans and conservatives in Georgia,” because “every registered voter is going to get one of these” and “this will certainly drive up turnout.” “
If this is not proof the the GOP’s best political strategy is to keep turnout low, I’m not sure what is.

The topic of racial differences in health matters has been raised here before, and I find it disturbing that instead of acknowledging those genetic differences and adjusting treatment, and preventive measures, accordingly the Guardian looks for racial bias to explain the more severe consequences of Vovid-19 infections among Black men.
John Krasinski shows a lot of positives in this crisis. In about 16 minutes you get a little mental vacation plus a cool zoom version of “Hamilton”.
Tha article points out that we are in a global recession and the only way out is probably a global effort.
