Florida Dept if Health on Gender Dysphoria

Citing actual experience and data, the Florida Dept of Health has issued guidance to physicians on early treatment for gender dysphoria.

“The Florida guidance states: “A paper published in the International Review of Psychiatry states that 80 percent of those seeking clinical care will lose their desire to identify with the nonbirth sex. ” Hence, early hormonal or surgical intervention is not indicated, and can be permanently destructive.

No surprise in my view, puberty generally resolves that confusion.

If there is any place in our lives where unbiased critical thinking is required, it is health care, but woke delusions are even polluting our lives there.

There are racial differences that affect health that have nothing to do with racism. Forcing physicians to pretend otherwise will make those outcomes worse.

Cruiser Muskova

I looked up the Muskova. I was a 50 year old ship modified twice and built to counter our aircraft carriers and other capital ships in blue water. Its armaments were anti-aircraft guns and missiles and large, possibly nuclear, long range anti-ship cruise missiles.

So, what was it doing there?

There was nothing it could do against shore targets that could not be done better by land based aircraft and artillery. So, why bring it within range of land based anti-ship missiles when there was no reason to expose it?

And why, when its normal crew was 510, were there fewer than 100 to evacuate when the fire could not be controlled?

This seems odd to me. Theories?

It seems fashionable to hate Billionaires, but they can be entertaining, and sometimes do great good. Elon Musk, who claims to be a free speech absolutist got offended by the Twitter staff’s arrogance and censorship of political views, so he will drop $50 billion or so to buy it and fix it.

And he will probably make a profit on it in the end.

Progressives talk of solving all our problems by making the billionaires pay their “fair share” but of course even if we seized all they had, it wouldn’t cover a year of their spending plans. And of course, you can only eat your seed corn once.

Of note, the last paragraph makes plain how the Scandinavians pay for their welfare state.
