Reform the K-12 Government- School Monopoly: Economics and Facts

Source: American Institute for Economic Research.

“This study found that currently (as of 2018), a public school education in the US costs 89% more than private education; that is, $14,653 for a public school and $7,736 for a private education.”

Imagine that. If you assume that education is a “public good” (I don’t), our insistence on having public schools forces us to obtain substantially less of it than we might. We could educate almost twice as many children for the money we are spending now — all else being equal, etc.

Pierce Bainbridge Statement on Kyle Rittenhouse 8-28-20

Source: Scribd.

I expect we’ll hear that young Rittenhouse is a racist, at least structurally so since a) he is white, b) he was armed, and c) he was guarding a capitalist petro-chemical facility. Or, if none of that, then the Kenosha protests that night were “largely peaceful” until white supremacists from out of town infiltrated them, inciting arson, looting and teeth-gnashing among the godly idealists.

New Jersey Town Bills Teenage BLM Protest Organizer $2,500 For Police Overtime

Source: ZeroHedge.

You gotta love Jersey girls, I guess.

I suppose this story raises First Amendment issues, but I’m not inclined to take them seriously. At most, the free speech interest conflicts with the town’s equally valid governance interests. When such irresolvable conflicts arise it is reasonable for some form of compromise rule to apply, such as the Town’s expectation to be notified prior to the event.

Assuming there’s an ordinance on the books that requires protest organizers to obtain permits, the First Amendment is irrelevant here.

Employment Options, Not Labor Unions, are the Real Source of Bargaining Power for Workers

Source: American Institute for Economic Research.

The indefatigable economist Don Bourdreaux takes on a notion that comes up here in Tidewater Forum quite often: “Do workers in market economies need labor unions to ensure that they are paid fairly – that is, to ensure that they’re paid wages that reflect the market value of what they produce?”

SHADOW GATE – FULL FILM by Millie Weaver – 2020

Source: BitChute.

This video has a complex back story, which you can easily Google to explore. I’m sharing it because the story it tells seems plausible to me based on technology and programs I have seen with my own eyes as a proposal writer for DoD contracts in war gaming projects. That is to say, I have seen large-scale collaboration platforms like the ShadowNet application, and know for an experienced fact that such things have been commoditized for private, commercial use.

It is interesting that the Senate released its 1000-page report on Russian attempts to influence the 2016 election the same week this video was published, then banned, on YouTube. Section J of that report essentially — though obliquely — validates the video’s basic message.
