Door to door outreach is working in Watts. And nobody is answering the door with a gun.
No “brown shirts”, no vaccine. Just information. If they refuse after at least hearing some information, the folks move on. Sounds like a success story for all Americans who care.
Just when one thinks that the GOP can’t top their lunacy…
And now let’s shoot the vaccine outreach workers. Is this really a helpful suggestion in a pandemic?

The irony is that in that same speech she blamed Dr. Fauci for creating the virus, killing millions, for which there is a vaccine that works quite well. She doesn’t suggest taking the jab, but shooting the outreach people trying to encourage vaccination.
Deplorable is not strong enough to describe that ignorant and evil Congresswoman. She is trying to get political support on the threat of violence rather than encouraging pandemic safety.
Children are getting sicker with Delta and there are more cases.
With schools opening, mask wearing banned, and greater transmissibility, local health officials in the heavily affected states are truly concerned that the false mantra of children being at little risk is fading. Flu season on top of this could be particularly dangerous for children.
Maybe, just maybe, this could be a wake up call when kids become sick, hospitalized and die. This has already happened, but the numbers are still low.
So can I have my money back that supported schools, childbirth, Halloween candy, etc.?

We’ll see how Florida comes through the latest surge. DeSantis is so adamant about no more restrictions that he signed a law prohibiting local mandates. And he is selling “clever” koozies.

Mo Brooks may have to defend himself in 1/6 lawsuit.
It seems the DOJ is not the personal law firm that the previous administration relied on. Brooks tried to say that his role at the 1/6 rally was official business and part of his job as a Congressman. Of course, after checking the Constitution, I could not find that inciting a violent attack on Congress was mentioned, but I’ll confirm. Maybe it is part of the establishment of a postal service as an earmark?

Generally, the officers testified their deep emotional hurt of being call liars and that hugs and kisses were what the “patriots” were giving out. One did refer to federal code describing a terrorist action and how it fit what happened. We definitely need to keep 1/6 top of mind to counter GOP and Trump gaslighting.
We have been attacked or invaded few times in our history. 1812, Mexican War, Pearl Harbor, 9/11 and 1/6. Only one of those has a concerted effort to squash facts. The rest are memorialized.
