An easily solved conundrum
School year 2021-2022 start day falls on the same day as Rosh Hashonah, the Jewish New Year and the beginning of the High Holy Day season. The VB School Board spent about 30 seconds discussing and voted to force students and staff of the Jewish faith to choose between missing the first day of school or not attending synagogue. This is not acceptable.

Hot s&^t, Motherf*&^%$#g, d@#*.
““Is it the case then that I will no longer be able to say if I hear my children swear … ‘If you swear, it’s a crime’?” asked state Sen. Jill Vogel, R-Fauquier, debating the bill Wednesday.”
And to Ms. Vogel, if you taught your kids better, maybe you wouldn’t have to threaten them with criminal prosecution. By the way, a “swear jar” is a good learning tool. And it can pay for a parent’s date night if hte kids are a real problem.
The drain gets a little more swamped
A loyalist in charge of our intelligence agencies? What a great idea. And one that doesn’t need the Constitutional oversight of advise and consent? Even better.
If only Virginia were more like California…
I would definitely be OK with this. I wonder how the rest of the Forum Round Table feels.

The Hill, one of the more non-partisan news sites, takes a close look at John Solomon’s Ukraine-related columns and it’s own possible failings in dealing with them.
Nice to see a news/opinion site realize it’s own failings and making the corrections to prevent them from happening again.
Not helpful at all…
Paywall. But Cotton advancing a conspiracy theory doesn’t help in the least.
Highlights: “Speaking on Fox News, Senator Tom Cotton, Republican of Arkansas, raised the possibility that the virus had originated in a high-security biochemical lab in Wuhan, the Chinese city at the center of the outbreak.

The absolute and complete hypocrisy of the GOP and it’s Congressional Leader, Magic Mitch McConnell, on full display. In 2016, it was let the people decide. In 2020, it is HE will decide.
He tries to cover it up by claiming some 19th century excuse, but it is still hypocrisy, writ large.
Former COS John Kelly explains it all.
First, apologies to NICK-TV (formerly Nickelodeon)

Claiming that release of the Vindman brothers from their positions at NSC was not retaliatory is in a word: Horse shit! (OK, 2 words).
Alexander was slated to roll out of the post in July anyway. He was a policy adviser and subject matter expert on Ukraine. It makes no sense to relieve someone of an NSC position because he was honest and concerned. And his brother, Yevegeny, was an attorney that had NOTHING to do with his brother’s testimony. If it wasn’t retaliatory, what in the hell was it?
