Supreme Court Brings Common Sense Back in Threefer

So it took the Supreme Court to rule on common sense such as:

  1. You can’t discriminate against white people in college admissions.
  2. Biden and liberals can’t buy votes from those that made a contract to pay for education they chose and benefitted from by canceling their debt with OPM.
  3. You can’t force someone to buy into and participate in LGBT anything who has serious religous or common moral grounds to object to it. If you want a gay cake, go to someone who makes gay cakes instead of trying to force someone who doesn’t for good reason. Easy

And the extremist left wing is fuming because common sense prevailed.

Few subjects inspire pre-recorded denials and deflections as reliably as this one. Were there any liberals around, one of them predictably would mention Catholic priests; another would claim the numbers are inflated; still another would accuse me of being a conspiracy theorist. Yet, sadly, this story is not going away.

More Falsehoods of World War II

This follow-on to my recent post about WW II covers a variety of astonishments: The technical and strategic prowess of Stalin’s military; the Nazi/Zionist alliance prior to the war; Jewish soldiers in Hitler’s army. The writer hopes that the true history of WW II will inspire diplomatic humility of the sort that may allow present risks of WW III to be defused.

The Trump Indictment: What Can a Unitary Executive Do?

The writer observes that the indictment of Donald Trump over the Mar-a-Lago national security documents violates a fundamental Constitutional norm. To wit:

The “unitive executive theory” periodically becomes a trendy topic during newsworthy uses of presidential power, but the theory itself is simple and based in the Constitution. Because Article II of the Constitution vests the executive power of the United States in the president, then, according to the Yale Law Journal, “The executive [branch] is headed by a single person, not a collegial body, and that single person is the ultimate policy maker, with all others subordinate to him.” This theory often gets disparaged as promoting tyranny or a monarch-like president, but it is actually quite reasonable. The president of the United States is the executive, and every other member of the executive branch (from the heads of the CIA and the State Department to the janitors in the Pentagon) is subject to the president and serves at his pleasure.

Why Everything You Know About World War II Is Wrong

It is a shame there are no liberals left here at Tidewater Forum. They will miss a moment of potential edification.

In the source article Ron Unz documents some of the “alternative” history that accounts for the origins of WW II and shows, after a fashion, that the alternative once was mainstream. He argues that prominent, even eminent, historians published their researches soon after the war, often to critical acclaim; then their findings were suppressed and displaced. The result in our time is a great historical imaginarium upon which so much of contemporary liberalism is based: The hoax that WW II was a “good war” in which fascism was utterly defeated.

It is breathtaking to contemplate that FDR may have engineered WW II to provide economic recovery from the U.S.’s Great Depression. It is similarly breathtaking to contemplate that the Holocaust may be largely if not entirely fictional. Yet Unz outlines precisely these views.

The recent indictment of Trump over classified documents is clear evidence that Democrats don’t even care to hide obvious election interference and partisan sensationalized spectacles. This is far worse than the DNC/Clinton funded phony Steele portfolio but out and out war against the fundamental institution of the American electoral system. The lack of similar indictments by the partisan Garland’s led DOJ against Biden and Pence is proof positive of the one sided nature and militarization of Democratic government machine against anyone who dare rub against the grain of the Demcrat narrative of woke perversion. I’m not a fan of Trump but see and feel the same heavy hand of leftist ideology being thrust into everyday life of citizens without regard for rights and basic decency. It only appears to be getting much worse before it gets any better.
