It is not fun living through the collapse of a society or nation. One of the most unpleasant features of the experience is having to listen to bald-faced propaganda and delusional rationalizations, such as the idea that increasing government spending will reduce inflation.
I think it has been proven too many times that more money causes inflation. More money supply cheapens the dollar’s value for one causing inflation. My daughter, a general manager, now knows the correlation between higher wages and product price inflation for another as one cannot exist without causing the other. False increase in demand, increased government spending for nothing, for another. How do any of these “fight” inflation instead of adding fuel to it?

Trickle down doesn’t work either. Because it never does.

Not the first time a government has tried to solve its problems with the printing press. Toward the end of the Weimar inflation, the Billion mark note was printed on only one side because printing both sides cost more than it was worth.
Funny until you remember who the Germans turned to to restore order.
