Because I would happily vote against Terry McAuliffe for purely irrational reasons, it is comforting to learn of practical scandals that discredit him. I can then hide my magical thinking beneath a veneer of justifiable moral outrage. This story about the campaign finance complaint filed against McAuliffe last Friday is something of a boon in this regard.
McAuliffe allegedly received a donation of $350,000 from a foreign agent, which is illegal in the U.S.A. Better, the agent is otherwise under investigation for international money laundering.
The story reminds of McAuliffe’s GreenTech car manufacturing scam, which bilked Chinese investors for tens of millions of dollars before the venture went bankrupt.
Democratic Party clown cars are everywhere as the American empire crumbles into faerie dust. Did you hear the rumor — unconfirmed, but reportedly circulating in Rome — that Stumble Joe had to be rescued from a bathroom accident when he met the pope?
The last laugh.

The complaint delivered to the FEC was produced by the National Legal and Policy Center, a well-documented front for big business and right wing candidates. It’s specialty is union busting.

It is a typical ploy. Almost certainly a lame attempt at an October surprise. In “conservative” circles, allegations get treated as damning facts even allegations without merit. FEC regulations allow contributions from American subsidiaries of foreign corporations. Maybe they shouldn’t, but they do. That is the real scandal – but not one the GOP would do anything about – no corporations should be allowed to pour unlimited money into politics.

The McAuliffe story is obviously meaningless, just like Stumble Joe’s bathroom problems. All old men have them, after all. We shouldn’t take seriously the allegation that Biden needed a caravan of 85 bulletproof SUVs to carry his diapers to the climate summit.

Bathroom problems? I did not know what you were referring to so I did a little Googling and learned that our dear childish morons are all abuzz with stories that President Biden had some sort of bathroom accident while visiting the Pope. As with most such childishness, there is no evidence that it is true. And, of course, it would not be important if it were true.

But, knock yourself out and next time you do not want to know the truth about something, instead of sticking your fingers in your ears and chanting “blah, blah, blah” you could chant “poopypants poopypants poopypants” instead.

It won’t make much difference. People who vote Democrat don’t care how corrupt their candidates are.
Huey Long once quipped that the only way he would lose an election were if he were found in bed with a dead girl or a live boy.

“People who vote Democrat don’t care how corrupt their candidates are.”
So says the apologist for the most corrupt leaders and party since the 1920’s.
Such hypocrisy from a die hard Trump supporter is beyond risible.

Really?
I guess I missed the part where Trump and his family INCREASED net worth while he was in office.
Trump was lots of things, many of them unpleasant, but in no way did he profit from his time in office.
The last two Democrats in the Presidency accumulated all of their wealth while in public office, as did the current one.
You do understand how corruption works, right?

Your smarmy condescension would be less laughable if it were not bundled with so many of your famous and never ending “alternative facts.”
Clinton, Obama and Biden did NOT accumulate their personal wealth while in office. They accumulated most of it after leaving office. Since, unlike Trump, they have disclosed their personal taxes for decades this is in the public record and there is no excuse for you getting it wrong. If you are honest.
If Trump did not profit while in office – and nobody actually knows whether he did or not – it was not for lack of trying. Never mind all the violations of the emoluments clause at his properties or the DOD flights diverted to prop up his failing clubs, there is the little matter of Chinese financing of his Indonesian development, Ivanka’s Chinese trademarks and the Saudis bail out of Kushner’s failed investments. These are just the tip of the iceberg.
And, you seem to have forgotten how Trump BRAGS about his ability to get corrupt officialdom to do his bidding. Corruption has been his way of life for decades.

‘I can’t take your money now, but I’ll put you down for 200,000 copies when it comes out.”
And the Clintons made a lot before becoming President in Arkansas.
I doubt seriously even one copy in ten of ‘The Audacity of Hope’ has actually been read.
But of curse the current President and his family built a fortune while he was in the Senate and Veep selling access.
And lets not forget that the Biden Justice Dept found no breaches of the Emoluments clause.

Once again caught is a blatant “error” you shuck and jive. This has happened countless times. Pathetic.
The truth of these matters is readily available. For example . . .
