Well, scratch one off of Biden’s list.

I think Klobuchar would have made a good choice for Biden to pick. I liked her calm and well-reasoned demeanor a lot. However, my caveat to that is that REPLACING ‘djt’ IS THE OBJECTIVE IN NOV.
To that end, I think the former VP should pick a woman of color, and luckily for the country the ex-VP has some good choices to pick from AND who can fill the position, effectively, with no trouble.

Please let it be Stacey Abrams, the most unelectable woman short of Hillary.

Don’t worry. It won’t be her. I’m thinking its gonna be Harris. She has the chops and could kick the crap out of Pence in a VP debate.

I don’t disagree that she is the better choice from the Democrat standpoint. I just want the Democrats to loose.

Based on your misspelling, the Democrats are poised to be “loosed”.
I still find it difficult to fathom as to why you are so anti-Democrat, but you are who you are.

. . . yet we all thought a dunderhead like ‘djt’ didn’t stand a snow-ball’s-chance you know where; but, alas, here we are in the scariest administration the country has ever been.
Too bad you and the rest of the ‘djt’ folks didn’t see THAT writing on the wall.
Say what you must about Stacey Abrams, but I would bet my last dollar we’d never hear her talking about a woman having “. . . blood coming from her eyes or her wherever.”
Nor would we hear her suggesting injecting ‘ disinfectant into the body’, would be even remotely safe actions to take.
Stacey Abrams (as was Sect. Clinton) is head and shoulders above ‘djt’. And, they are certainly more FIT and in control of their words and actions than ‘djt’.

Here is a little more clarity on the Klobuchar issue. Taken from The Bulwark newsletter received today. (This is by Jonathan V. Last, Executive Editor)
“Oops.
Now, in fairness to Klobuchar, this story isn’t as simple as the headline makes it seems.
(1) Klobuchar came across Derek Chauvin, the officer who killed George Floyd, when he was involved in a fatal shooting.
(2) This shooting was not obviously a bad shoot. Which is to say: Maybe it was, but it’s not nearly as simple as the Floyd case. Here’s a thumbnail summary:
“Chauvin was one of six officers who fired on and killed Wayne Reyes in 2006 after Reyes reportedly aimed a shotgun at police after stabbing his friend and girlfriend.”
(3) Even without delving into the facts of the Reyes case, Klobuchar’s culpability here isn’t as direct as “didn’t prosecute” makes it sound. The Daily Beast has a less sensational account:
In 2006, Chauvin was involved in a shooting, and Klobuchar declined to bring charges at that time, according to The Week. But according to a statement from the current Hennepin County DA Mike Freeman sent by Klobuchar spokesman Nathan Evans, “all prosecutorial decisions were made under the direction of Mike Freeman.” By the time the case came to prosecution, Klobuchar had already moved on to the Senate, according to her office. The case proceeded to a grand jury, which in 2008 declined to bring charges.
Those are all details and maybe they mitigate things for Klobuchar in a real way. Maybe they don’t.
But as a political matter, I think her shot to be Biden’s VP is over. It’s just too much downside to get dragged into a complicated debate about how district attorney’s offices work and the difference between bringing charges yourself or going to a grand jury.
So take Amy Klobuchar off the short list.”
While The Week (which Don linked this story from) is one of my go-to news sources (I get the mag each week as well) was accurate in it’s reporting (from The Guardian, actually), it left out some key points.
Yes, Klobuchar is out and rightly so. But a little more insight into how everything really played out.

The “Oops” at the beginning of the quote is because yesterday the Bulwark had an article as to why Klobuchar would be a good choice

I was just offering a little bit more insight into the WHY she is done.
