Can’t walk and chew gum at the same time?

The last bill passed almost unanimously. It was put together in about 96 hours and no one was 100% happy.

Why not work on a plan now to have it ready if needed? Ya know, being proactive instead of just reactive.

Oh right. Mitch needs to keep packing the courts with right wing activist judges. He said it himself. “My motto for the rest of the year is leave no vacancy behind.” Funny he didn’t feel that way in 2016.

    1. All the more reason to work TOGETHER on what may be needed in the near future. Why fill judicial appointments when the courts are all on hold?

And poison pills to some are important needs for others. Negotiation between the two houses goes a long way as opposed to the Democrats negotiating with the administration and then the GOP having to suck it up, gag on it, and vote for something they don’t want to but will have to in order to save face….and their political backsides.

    2. Perhaps they can avoid the outrageous retroactive to 2018 tax break for real estate depreciation in excess of 1/2 million for individuals.

That was certainly a lifesaver for those people unemployed, uninsured or small businesses trying to stay afloat.

Republicans know no shame in my book. I had to pay for that.
