Is THIS really all that good for America? No, I’ll rephrase: THIS kind of talk from a leading politician is actually flat-out UN-AMERICAN.

I watched some of Donald J. Trump’s BS-filled rally and can’t believe any decent, intelligent Americans find this kind of talk acceptable. Is it just me, or do others find it beyond laughable that Trump is stupid enough to talk about anyone kissing someone elses ass?

I mean, Trump’s own backside must have so many bright red lip-prints on it (Barr’s, Giuliani’s, McConnell’s – too many to name) that the irony of that crude comment must be obvious even to this fellow.

Well, at least Lindsey Graham pulled his head out of his own dark place long enough to call Trump out over what he’s started in Syria. I guess that’s something; maybe.

This administration is going down. The question is only how long we have to hear his stupidity and watch the ?president’s? dangerous actions before Americans actually say, “What the hell have we done that deserves this unfit, uncouthed, uneducated ’empty’ suit to play the squatter in our White House?” – and, gets on board with bringing some leadership back to our country.

  1. You’re good. And accurate. And will tick off a couple of people who will deny that is what he said or that it was taken out of context. And you also suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome. But keep in mind, those comments come from those who suffer from Trump BLINDNESS Syndrome.

    You did just fine.

You might consider adding a “Continue reading” button after the first sentence or two of long posts. Here’s a “how to” that explains:

    https://tidewaterforum.blog/2019/08/23/how-to-add-a-continue-reading-button-to-a-post/

The benefit is that shorter posts keep the main page of the forum simpler and easier to scroll through.

    1. Thank you, I remember seeing that comment earlier when someone requested we use the ‘Continue reading’ button, but I haven’t seen exactly how to do it. Hopefully, your reply will be just what I need. I agree about keeping “…the forum simpler and easier to scroll through. …” Thanks again.

    2. I had to log out before I could see the “Continue reading” button. That had me going in circles, but I hung in there. I suppose that when the actual ‘Author’ is looking at one of their particular posts, they will see the entire post (if they are logged in to the site. But, if not logged in, they will then see what I’M GUESSING everyone else see – which is a short paragraph followed by the “Continue reading” and that’s it until they hit that button.

I just have to work through the new system not accustomed to. Please let me know if you ARE NOT seeing that button, and I’ll go back to the drawing board when I have more time. /

  3. RE: “This administration is going down.”

A lot of people are saying that, but it sounds like wishful thinking to me, especially given the obvious popularity of Trump’s rallies. I’m more inclined to predict the collapse of the Democratic Party, since many Democrats appear to have gone insane.

    1. …”obvious popularity of Trump’s rallies”… He is popular among the 38% or so of the electorate that don’t seem to care what he does. We shall see how it all plays out in the coming months.

Even the Fox poll that sent him into a tizzy is showing the true popularity is moving towards “impeach and remove”.

      1. Well, that icky, ewwwwwie term (gooey shrapnel) made me wince. ACK!!

Just what I needed to start the weekend with. (Bad grammar and all.) Now all I have to do is ready myself for a Limbaugh run. Guess I should start begging the dr. for a higher dose of the high BP meds, huh? Ha.

  4. So, the entire Democratic Party has gone insane and not the fellow who has no clue what he’s doing, because . . . wait for it . . . he actually IS insane.

    Got it.

No, I was more careful than that. I said “many Democrats appear to have gone insane.”

      1. Insane?

Name one leading Democrat who is in the same league with Trump in terms of complete and utter disconnect from reality. Can you?

Where is the Democratic “stable genius” who in his or her “great and unmatched wisdom” “knows more about” [just about everything] than anybody?”

By the way, people you disagree with (a majority of your fellow citizens) do not count as insane.

Any Democrat who actively supports impeachment would qualify as “insane” in my casual definition. That would include all the Democratic candidates for president, if you want names. The reason is that no impeachable offense has been identified, making the current drive just a repeat of the failed Russia hoax.

LOL! By your “casual definition” – wanting impeachment – more than half the country is “insane.” People who disagree with you are not “insane” casually or otherwise. Get over it.

But thanks for yet another example of a “conservative” redefining English words to fit their world view. In the real world “insane” actually means something. For example “in a state of mind which prevents normal perception, behavior, or social interaction; seriously mentally ill.” By THAT definition Trump is the one who is “insane” and, maybe, those so divorced from reality that they continue to deny his very obvious mental deterioration.

No impeachable offense? Again, LOL!. The three articles drafted against Nixon and passed out of committee fit Trump to a T.

          1. Obstruction of Justice – see Mueller Report
          2. Contempt of Congress. Defying Congressional subpoenas – “stonewalling.”
          3. Abuse of Presidential powers – many examples such as extorting Ukraine to investigate his opponents.

Yup, that describes the pro-impeachers well enough.

  5. Trump is just stepping up his crude insults to re-affirm his “tough guy” bona fides.

I think he must be admiring Duterte who called Obama a “son of a whore”. Or said “f#k you” to the EU. Or told his rallies that he doesn’t “give a sht” about what the world leaders say.

And all these comments to screaming crowds at rallies.

(Hmmm, except for the accent and hair color there seems to be a striking similarity.)

Every population has its collection of jerks. Unfortunately, we just happened to elect one to our highest office.

    Oh well. Sh*t happens.

I apologize for the graphic language. I am not sure if because I used symbols and I didn’t use symbols.

    Pick one, I guess.

      1. I use to use six asterisks every time I talked about our “asterisk asterisk asterisk president asterisk asterisk asterisk”. I’m going to have to figure out something else or go check the ‘code’ page every time I want to use an asterisk here, since the asterisk is for sticking in an ‘italic’. It’s never easy.
