This is actually typical Trump, he impulsively suggests a ‘feel good’ measure, but then reconsiders after trusted experts weigh in. It is not, as the Pilot spins it, a political consideration. He simply has the flexibility to change his mind when presented with good advice.

Crime Commission taking comments
I wonder how much consideration those comments get?
This is is what I sent for the Tidewater Libertarian Party

Dear Commissioners:
George Will on Rent Seeking

Rent seeking is one of those terms that can be misleading. It it not about being a landlord, it is the use of government influence to suppress competition. It has been going on along time.

Problem with Contact Page
NOTE: I just learned that the CONTACT page is not working as it should. I added an Email link to that page. If you tried to contact me by way of the CONTACT form, I didn’t get it. Please use the Email link instead until I can fix the contact form.
Pilot to end comments Aug 19
So, there will be no comments at the Pilot. This blog was opened to provide an alternate forum, now it seems it will be the only one.
All are welcome, read the rules before commenting.
My wife and I will be away for a few days beginning on the 19th, so I won’t be able to respond to Author status requests until the 22nd. John and Len should be able to help you.
A failed experiment?
The number of participants here has dwindled over recent weeks to the point that it no longer serves its purpose.
It appears people have found it easier to adapt to the Pilot’s restrictive limits and avoidance of national news than to keep a second tab open on their browsers.
But the marketplace has spoken, I will let this blog go dormant for a couple of weeks and if nothing changes, take it down.
Spin, spin, spin
No Collusion, nothing that crossed the line on obstruction, but you’d never know it from the the press.
A Big Deal
