ActBLue money laundering

Hundreds of thousands of fraudulent donantions

So, what is the source of these millions of dollars in illegal campaign funds?

Why are citizens journalists uncovering this while the FEC looks the other way?

Good question. My take: The basics of the American creed no longer have a place within the political factions that drive our politics.

I am an unemployed senior and I have made dozens of contributions through Act Blue. The money given came out of my pocket. You MAGATS are desperate and ridiculous. It is telling that the “evidence” for this massive, nation-wide and yet invisible conspiracy – such as it is – comes from the likes of James O’Keefe.

      1. “Some of these folks have made thousands of donations totaling far more than their total income.”

I doubt that is true. Such “facts” comes from the same sort of jerks who gave us 2,000 Mules.

And try applying your renowed “genius” to this point. There is no limit to political contributions made to PACS. So what is the motivation to organize such an implausibly massive effort to funnel money to candidates in dribs and drabs?

Pro tip : When a massively important story such as this would be if true does not attract real journalists who would love to get their own Pulitizer Prize it is not because they are ALL covering up Democratic malfeasance. It is because the story is bullshit. Every time.

          1. Did you even read those links?

The NYT article was from 2021 and was about investigations that both ActBlue AND WinRed were abusing the recurring donations features of their system.

            There were stories about layoffs.

The Fox News story was from 2019 and was based on nothing but the large number of unemployed donors – of which I am one.

There is not any evidence to support the preposterous claims made in your first post.

        1. The issue isn’t supporting candidates you favor. That is certainly your right.

The issue is mega donors skirting campaign finance laws by laundering very large and thus reportable donations by passing them off as hundreds of small donations by other people who may not even know they donated.

I was responding to the silly insult by Mr. Smith, not making a point.

You have still not answered the question. WHY? These supposed money launderers can give any amount they want to a PAC without disclosing who they are. PACS can spend ANY amount of money to aid a candidate. What is the risk vs reward of organizing a massive fraud with countless loose ends vs just using a PAC to help. The accusation makes ZERO sense.

And, there is zero credible evidence to support this nonsense. Your primary source is a joke. Your second attempt lead to links that had nothing to do with accusation.

Once again we are demonstrating the validity of Brandolini’s Law.

You sincerely believe that it ONLY ActBLUE that does this?

I don’t approve, but I find it interesting that, once again, your panties only get wadded when it is Blue that does it, but Red gets a pass. Or denial.
