Some people say Stumble Joe’s classified documents scandal is completely different from Orange Man’s classified documents scandal, but I’m not convinced. Just considering physical features, I doubt that a locked garage meets any of the minimal standards set forth in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) for storage of classified materials. Orange Man’s basement closet at Mar-A-Lago arguably did meet NISPOM standards, if only because it is underground.
Also, Stumble Joe’s arrangement offered a fast getaway car to any would-be classified document thief. Orange Man never did that!
Personally, I think poor old Stumble Joe is being set up; someone is engineering his exit from power. Don’t be surprised if the U.S. economy tanks or the war in Ukraine goes south for NATO or the civil war in Mexico crosses our border. Stumble Joe will be the scapegoat.

The basic concepts of the two cases are similar. The RESPONSE by the two parties is where there is aa COMPLETE DIFFERENCE.

How so? Trump’s attorneys were cooperating with the archivist. Biden’t attorney’s are cooperating with the archivst. The main difference I see is that DOJ sent a swat team after Trump, but colluded with Biden to keep the story secret.

Yeah, to the point they LIED on an affidavit to the court that ALL material had been turned over.
And there was no SWAT team. It was a group of FBI agents executing a lawfully obtained search warrant and executing it. No massive search by DOJ has been necessary. As things are discovered by Biden’s team they are immediately turned over. There is no claim of “these are mine, you can’t have them”, as was basically done by TFG. Anything and everything the archivist requested should have been turned over with NO negotiation required.
Get out of your nucking futz mindset and pay attention to facts. Actual facts, not the alternative ones you peddle in.

There is one other difference that hasn’t been brought up here: Intent.
Biden may or may not have intended to take documents he shouldn’t have. Trump took them, claimed they were HIS, claimed he gave them all back, claimed that he declassified them with his mind.

Inflation coming down, employment holding steady, and Ukraine is getting from the West more weaponry to protect itself, and the rest of Europe from the marauding forces of a raving, paranoid lunatic. Also, funds from the BIPARTISAN bills passed last year are starting to flow into the economy and infrastructure projects are ramping up, states are FLUSH with money to the point that Gov. Youngkin is proposing tax cuts (I do wish it was geared more to the people and not to the corporations) and teacher pay raises.
Your continued attacks on Biden appear to be more than nothing but sour grapes because your boy lost and is getting closer and closer to criminal prosecution. (Remember that his organization was just found guilty of fraud and ordered to pay big bux in fines…only because you can’t imprison an organization.)

As stated in my post, I believe things have already gone wrong in this country. Either Stumble Joe is being forced out of power or blackmailed to escalate the war in Ukraine. Either way, end-of-empire is upon us.
