That looked like fun and educational. Trebuchets were the ultimate war/siege machines before gunpowder.

Here is a site that delves into the physics in great detail. Probably above the level of the operator in your videos, but maybe understandable to his assistants. It describes the physics in layman’s terms first, then the heavy math follows.
