Noriega, Part Deux

Not that this is a bad thing, but one has to wonder if this is a similar precursor to 1989. “He [Barr] compared Maduro’s indictment to the 1988 indictment of former Panamanian strongman Manuel Noriega, which eventually led to the 1989 U.S. invasion of that country.”

Just thought I’d change the subject away from the Coronavirus issue for a minute.

  1. Another take on the Venezuela issue is Giuliani’s client, Alejandro Betancourt, a wealthy businessman under US investigation for money laundering and other corruption regarding billion dollar contracts with Chavez for power stations.

Betancourt supports the opposition leader Juan Guaidó and Giuliani is asking our AG for leniency.

Well if Maduro is ousted, in comes Guaidó and Betancourt is back in the money.

Not that Maduro doesn’t need to go. But this has the odor of week old fish.
