Bloomberg, who is a longtime friend of Trump’s, who believes almost all the same things he does, is being encouraged by the DNC and legacy media to do everything he can to buy this election.
Trump will talk about how “Little Mike” doesn’t think you should have soda or cigarettes and he will win 48 states. But, as the saying goes, “liberals hate socialists more than fascists.”
Yeah, but if he can beat Trump….
Talked with my father, a New York area resident. He told me he is leaning heavily towards Bloomberg. This surprised me a bit because of some of the points in the Jacobin piece. But sometimes it takes a bully to beat a bully.
I’m still an Amy guy. Have been since the first debates. But if Bloomberg does somehow get the nomination, I would hope he would get Klobuchar as his running mate. With her Senatorial experience, she could do a lot to help move forward an agenda that is more palatable to most Americans than the far left visions of Bernie/Elizabeth, and appeal to the voters that flipped from Obama to Trump in 2016, and independents who can’t stand what Trump is doing to this country.

What’s the point of beating Trump if his replacement believes almost all the same things he does, but isn’t stupid and lazy and has actual experience implementing policies propping up big business and terrorizing minority populations?

You seem to feel that we might replace an autocratic millionaire with an autocratic billionaire.
Always a possibility.
In the present situation I like to think of it as replacing borscht laced with strychnine to Brunswick stew with a tad too much salt.
IMHO, of course.

That’s more evidence of the collapse of the Democratic Party. An incoherent philosophy leaves only the apparatus, which now is for sale. Free markets work.

“Free markets work.” -That you would see a situation in which a small group of insiders collude to help a billionaire subvert the democratic process as “the free market” is very telling.

What does it tell you?

That ostensible Republicans’ (or however you identify) veneration of the “free market” is just window dressing for their actual preference for oligarchy.

I’m not sure how you arrive at such a conclusion. If it helps any, I had in mind the principle of creative destruction which free markets tend to exhibit.

Defeating Mr Trump is the only “idea” that Dems have. The poor souls have descended into the abyss of philosophical destitution and that is why they are doomed.

They have lots of good ideas. You don’t listen because your ears are attached to your head which is so far up the Trump rump, you need a scuba mask to breath.

You appear to be fascinated with Mr Trump’s butt. For that is the second time today, that you have referenced it in your comments to me.
Weird . . .

Just pointing out the fact we ALL know where your head is. Seeing as it is so far up there, a reminder is needed for yourself.
