ZeroHedge: ‘CoupGate’ – A Localized Civil War Is Now Underway In The DoJ

The commentary at the link presents an interesting perspective on current events. Just think for a moment where we are today compared to where we were in 2016:

  • Thanks to the second OIG report, it is no longer necessary to prove that the Steele dossier was anything other than a hot mess of bad information that should never have been used to get warrants to permit spying on U.S. citizens.
  • Thanks to the Mueller investigation, it is no longer necessary to prove that Trump campaign collusion with Russians was anything other than a pure hoax.
  • Thanks to the impeachment, it is no long necessary to prove that the president’s worst enemies have been anything other than lying, incompetent, seditionaries.

These things are all well established and widely known. We can at last, now, begin to think in terms of next steps. The timing is perfect, with a presidential election coming up.

  1. The Horowitz IG report proves that after losing in 2016, the FBI, CIA, NSA and DNC plotted to topple the US govt by way of coup d’etat. Now, that is the sort of stuff that can lead to a full-blown fascist police-state.

If the DOJ does not bring these slimy, seditious creeps to justice, I have a hunch that the American people will.

Of course the report proves no such thing. Coup d’etat? What a silly, childish fool you are.

The slimy, seditious creeps that the American people will bring to justice are the members of the Trump crime family and their capos.

      1. The idea that our intelligence services somehow “lost” in 2016 demonstrates the lunatic fringe thinking of those that follow the crooked POS in the WH. SMFH.

  2. Mr. Taylor is pretty clear on the Ukrainian situation.

“Durden”, the chickenshit who is afraid to use his real name, tries very hard to spin together mass investigations into people that have no reason to be investigated. A very Trumpian tactic to say the opposition did what Trump ACTUALLY did.

And the idea of a DOJ “coup” is just more distraction foro the fact that over 2,000 former federal prosecutors have called for Barr to resign. And today, the Judges are meeting to decide where they fall in the politicization of Barr’s DOJ.

The pseudonymous Durden didn’t write the article.

      2. It is an opinion, more of a rant really, but not an article.

Everyone is certainly entitled to one.

He blames everyone for Trump’s troubles except Trump.

People “set traps” for the hapless president and his lawyer, Barr. And it seems Kunstler likes to weave a huge conspiracy with dozens of players. He is a novelist after all.

That Trump actively sought help from the Russians as in Don, Jr’s meeting or Stone and Wikileaks or Trump’s “joke” about asking Russians for help or all the subsequent connections revealed with Flynn, Manafort, etc., are just ignored or part of the grand scheme.

Never mind that the evidence did show obstruction, but Barr said “Nyet”.

Or that the “favor” was solely about Crowdstrike baloney and Biden.

But, as I stated, Kunstler and his lackey, Durden (or whoever he is) are ranting and gaslighting in full Trumpian mode.

As are you. “…the president’s worst enemies have been anything other than lying, incompetent, seditionaries.

That fits Trump and his regime to a capital “T”.

        IMHO

Durden is reportedly the owner of the ZeroHedge web site. Nobody knows who he is. WSJ reported some time ago there is speculation that ZeroHedge is published by a group of Wall Street insiders but long-standing efforts to discover their identities have proved futile.

Interestingly, the site has a manifesto, which you can read here:

          https://www.zerohedge.com/about

ZeroHedge is an aggregator, like the Drudge Report. That is to say, the site produces very little content of its own, but features stories originally published elsewhere.

  3. LTE in this morning’s Pilot sums up the “sleazebag” argument. Silly Pilotonline will not allow to post just the link, so the entire letter appears here.

    A proud “sleazebag”
President Donald Trump insulted some of our finest intelligence agencies, agency directors and employees with abusive names. One name he uses is “sleazebag.” I earned my “sleazebag” credentials working more than 50 years with the CIA and elsewhere in the intelligence community, where there were many “sleazebags” hard at work.

One of those “Sleazebags” was a Cuban American. Sent to fight terrorists in Central America, he and others were captured and threatened with execution. He convinced his captors the group was sent by Havana. His trick worked. They were set free. Trump would call him a “Latino-infestation sleazebag.”

Wonder why we have not had a spate of terrorist attacks while Europe has been hit numerous times? One reason is two young women who were in one of my classes at the FBI. They developed a method of analyzing raw Intelligence that thwarted 12 planned terrorist attacks in an 18-month period. I am honored to have worked with those FBI “sleazebags.”

Iraqi and Afghan immigrants have been in my classes. These men brought their families here for safety. They repaid the United States by going into battle with our soldiers to interrogate prisoners. What great American “sleazebags.” They did not let bone spurs prevent them from putting their lives on the line.

I am a “sleazebag” because I served as part of the stabilization force peacekeeping mission in Bosnia where Serbs were hunting Americans. Snipers and landmines were part of my daily concern. I am proud of my “sleazebag” status.

Bravo to Mr. Cariens, and thank you for your service to our country.
