Hate, loathe, whatever –

I keep hearing GOP Congressmen/women say that the Democrats want to impeach Trump ONLY because they hate him. Or loathe him; or really, really don’t like him.

Here’s what I find wrongheaded  with that assessment: Why can’t someone who HATES, LOATHES or REALLY DISLIKES him sincerely and reasonably ALSO believe he is Un-American and more inline with following foreign adversaries’ politics than those of his own country’s? Why can’t haters, loathers and dislikers ALSO recognize what appears to be crimes and unconstitutional actions?

Hating or loathing doesn’t make one void of common sense, does it? I haven’t liked DJT since his trip down ‘Birtherism Lane’; but, it wasn’t till the “Russia, if you’re listening. . .  ” comment that I immediately thought he might be in real trouble and could have to deal with those comments that he refused to take back, if elected. And, here we are.

  3. There are lots of things to not like about Trump, but if you think he does not truly love this country, you are as delusional as he is on his worst day.

    You may not agree with him on issues, but there is nothing he places before the interests of the American people, as he sees it. I often disagree with his vision of what is best for the country, but I don’t doubt for a moment that he is seeking the best for us no matter what it costs him.

      Well, perhaps there is the qualifier of “as he sees it”.

      This is a man who, with his Dad and family, screwed American taxpayers out of millions. Screwed hard working students at his Trump U. Screwed veterans out of his charity money, until he got caught. Charity money donated by other Americans. Charges American taxpayers for stays at his hotels for diverted military flights. Made sure that tax loopholes especially affecting real estate investor got into the tax bill. Disparages our legal system. Attacks our military fighters who were wounded in combat. Exposed allies’ contacts to brag to the Russians. Sending his son to get dirt from Russian intelligence on a political opponent.

      So I guess if screwing more people than a $2 bordello on payday is patriotic, then Trump is the guy we want in the Oval Office, I suppose.

      Of course, “as he sees it” what is best for the American people is that he be allowed to rule without pesky restraints such as the law or the Constitution.

      To that I say that no one NEEDS to be ‘chocked FULL of common sense’ to recognize a con man who always has his own interest ahead of everyone elses. Too bad for Trump because that mindset of his is what got him impeached this evening.

        I wouldn’t pretend to read the man’s mind or even care that it matters much. But if you’re asking me what I mean by “meaningless,” the impeachment won’t prevent the president from running for re-election and, if anything, may improve his chances of winning.

          2. I would take a wild guess and say that you would SAY you don’t care. But we both know that this is not true. Trumpism is an emotional reaction of people like you who cannot keep up with people like me – economically, morally, socially and intellectually. So, the bottom line – losers support a loser and they think throwing grade school insults is the height of political discussion. Sad.

  6. I don’t want him impeached because I hate him. Hating him is just a bonus. They’re correlated in his case but not causal.

    I want him impeached because he may have acted against the best interests of the nation and I hate him because he’s a despicable excuse for a human being. Two different things.

    DJT is like an STD. You like the reason you got it, but you’re crazy to want to keep it.
