This would be a good time for a little America First activism. It should be clear, or made clear, that EU court rulings cannot restrict our Bill of Rights guarantees.

Much ado about nothing. Facebook is a private company. If the want to do business in the E.U. they need to abide by E.U. rules.

If it was a slippery slope. It isn’t. The Headline – “How The US Quietly Lost The 1st Amendment” is simply absurd. And so is the idea that American companies do not have to obey the laws of other countries because, you know, they are American.
What form is your “America First” activism going to take – skip your annual trip to the French Riviera? That’ll teach ’em.

It is a big deal.
Facebook agreed to block content found objectionable for European users, but the European courts are ordering that what they find objectionable be taken globally, including in the US.
That means a judge in Austria can regulate speech in the US, while a US judge would not.

No, what it means is that if Facebook wants to do business in the E.U. it has to abide by E.U. rules. If not they can take their business elsewhere.
And E.U. rules based on this ruling is it won’t accept certain ads or posts, period. If Facebook pulls out of the E.U. they can post whatever they want.
That’s my understanding.
