Good for the president. Next, let him make the same request to Boris Johnson.

  1. Trump is good at gas lighting. He has made a career out of false narratives.

He is so good at this that some fools really do believe that something nefarious was going on with the “deep state” to sabotage Trump’s campaign. These intellectually limited people are simply too dull think about the obvious question which is . . .

If the deep state was out to hurt Trump why did they destroy Clinton’s campaign while keeping the Russia investigation a secret?

    Sad.

  2. There is a link in you article to a NYT report that included this interview:

“Thomas P. Bossert, who served as Mr. Trump’s first homeland security adviser, said he told the president there was no basis to the theory that Ukraine, not Russia, intervened in the 2016 election and did so on behalf of the Democrats. Speaking out for the first time, Mr. Bossert said he was “deeply disturbed” that Mr. Trump nonetheless tried to get Ukraine’s president to produce damaging information about Democrats.

Mr. Bossert’s comments, on the ABC program “This Week” and in a subsequent telephone interview, underscored the danger to the president as the House moves ahead with an inquiry into whether he abused his power for political gain. Other former aides to Mr. Trump said on Sunday that he refused to accept reassurances about Ukraine no matter how many times it was explained to him, instead subscribing to an unsubstantiated narrative that has now brought him to the brink of impeachment.”

Bossert is still a Trump loyalist. Bolton caused him to leave.

And throughout the article Bossert’s contention is that Trump is digging a big hole for himself if he pursues the debunked Ukrainian connection.

    Then these weekend gems:

“”I want Schiff questioned at the highest level for Fraud & Treason.”

The president posted this comment from Rev. Robert Jeffress, pastor of the Southern Baptist megachurch First Baptist Dallas: “If the Democrats are successful in removing the president from office, it will cause a civil war like fracture in this nation from which our country will never heal.”

Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger, a former Air Force pilot who represents an Illinois district Trump won in 2016, tweeted in response: “I have visited nations ravaged by civil war. … I have never imagined such a quote to be repeated by a President. This is beyond repugnant.”

I think Trump is going off the deep end.

  3. Surprise. This is legitimate. There is an ongoing investigation into the beginnings of the FBI investigation opened in July(?) 2016 that began with George Popadopoulus(sp) shooting off to an Australian attache about the Russian email stuff and how Trump was going to cash in. Beware of Greeks loaded on retsina.

Given an existing DoJ inquiry, it is not unreasonable for the President to ask that a foreign country cooperate. Almost, but not quite, completely unlike the Ukraine.

This is some smoke being throw out from the White House to distract the stupid people from the difference between the two situations.

You didn’t fall for this, did you John?

  4. Scope — Not just a mouthwash. You Trumpheads should learn the meaning of the word and how it applies to DoJ inquiries.

Trump, unlike having the legendary Midas Touch, has the Secretariat Touch; everything he touches turns to horseshit.

  5. Barr’s world tour is part of the master plan to remove sanctions from Russia.

Discredit Russia election intervention and settle the Crimean takeover issue with the Ukraine and argue there’s no reason for sanctions and Russia should be back in the G8.

Sounds stupid, but that’s the Three Stooges level of their thinking.

    Putin’s puppet…..

  6. I think that Mr. Johnson is a bit too preoccupied these days to concern himself with Trump conspiracies. If he wants to distract himself from the Brexit debacle, this could be a fun way to do it.
