The more I think about this, the less useful it seems.
Unless the curve is extreme, it will only provide defilade at fairly long distances and I doubt that most of these shootings are anything but short range.

“Defilade” (bad memories aside) in this case would be most detrimental to opposing forces who would seek to take out the shooter from distance ASAP.

It makes sense, just like bullet proof backpacks for school children.
Yet, I can’t help but seeing this solution, though needed, as some kind of theater of the absurd.
Rather than working on reducing access to high powered weaponry to criminals and the insane we’ll just make it into a maze game.
Keep arms sales brisk and add in trillions for fortifications to protect ourselves from ourselves.
Hey, Trump promised infrastructure. Public access buildings are infrastructure. Just like ketchup is a vegetable.
