Left field much?The only reason I know of this is it’s perceived connection to hurricane activity and I have a house in the Caribbean. As a predictive model it seems to be somewhat on the level of the Farmers Almanac. It’s been almost 20 years since I looked into it and was not aware of it’s increased usage in the Gobol Warming debate (?). Guessing that’s why you posted it.

As I wrote, it’s just for kicks. I like to put something in the posts I use to mark the dates, and while reading an article about natural variability and cycles, I came a cross that visually striking graph. So I used it to fill the space.
The ENSO cycle has more impact on your place in the Caribbean though.

I run warm and cold on the AOM. One minute I’m all comfy about the natural cycle. Next minute I’m all worried that chaos and doom will emerge in the next data series because, you know, we have to save the children.
