Putin will continue to absorb neighboring countries until he is stopped.
OMG! Let’s fire up our nuclear warheads.

Predictably childish.
The point about Putin’s designs on yet another neighboring country is how closely it channels the actions that plunged the world into global war in the 1930s.

Yeah, I did also. But they claim to have a copy of it. And they quote from it extensively in this report.
You seem to not believe that Putin’s goal is to reconstitute the old Soviet Empire. I believe you are delusional to believe that.

I don’t think anyone in Russia wants to reconstitute the Soviet Union. Putin may want to reestablish Russia’s pre-Soviet eminence as a world power, but I don’t fault him for such dreams.
I do, however, fault the U.S. for wanting to harm Russia. Before the Soviets, Russia was our friend, and now that the Soviets are gone, Russia could be our friend again. We seem determined to deny the possibility.

And you continue to deny that what Putin did in invading Ukraine, who posed ZERO threat to them in any way, shape, or form, was a good move.

I said Soviet EMPIRE, not union. Words have meanings.

You are misinformed.

There was no Soviet “empire” other than the Soviet Union.

How so? What threat did Ukraine pose to Russia? Was it because the democratically elected President would not kowtow to the wishes of his belligerent neighbor to the north? Did Ukraine mass a large army on the border with Russia?
All Ukraine did was attempt to maintain its sovereignty form the attacks on the country that started in 21014.
I am not misinformed. You are just lying. Or delusional. Or both.

The Soviet Union was several countries under the control of the Soviet Communist Party. Putni wants those countries back under his control. Empire, under his control. A la Caesar.

So, you know of some Ukrainian plan to invade Russia?

RE: “What threat did Ukraine pose to Russia?”
Kyiv started a civil war within Ukraine by bombing its own citizens in the Donbas. In doing so, it lawlessly violated treaties that were guaranteed by France and Germany. Seven years later, Russia invaded. I don’t blame it.

“Kyiv started a civil war within Ukraine”…
You mean the Kremlin backed separatists sent by Putin in an early attempt to invade the country without using his Big Red (incompetent) Army? Your “civil war” was STARTED by the Kremlin. (Think Fort Sumter for historical reference.)
Still no threat to Russia. Just the cannon fodder they started with. In 2014.
