Uh no. I do not expect Trump to ever be a viable candidate again. He will be very lucky to avoid prison. I think he is now where he belongs – the garbage pail of history.
So, let me be completely frank. I posted this authentic Trump Christmas message to mock those of you who have offered this cretinous con man undying support through his reign of error, crimes, and sedition. You ought to be embarrassed at your own credulity, but obviously are not.

You have NEVER actually corrected a “deception” about Trump. None have been offered here for you to correct. What you have done is offer excuses, minimize his crimes, doubled down on his nonsense, and simply denied well-documented evidence of his criminal behavior.

To be fair, Trump did specify neo-Nazi and KKK participants as bad folks. Trouble was, he did that after his “fine people’ quote because of a follow up questions by reporters.
So, he was stuck with a quote he said, and didn’t clarify until prodded.
Maybe out of context, depending upon who’s talking. But you have also done the same, worse really because he wasn’t prodded, with Obama’s “you did not make that”. The context was all in the same paragraph, just left out by right wing news.
Unfortunately for Trump, he also told the gangs to “stand by” instead of outright condemning them later on in the debates. Gangs incorporated onto their T-shirts. Not a good look for presidential aspirations.
Trump is famously inarticulate and rambling. A problem for the post of leader of the free world.

Again, it took more follow ups to clarify. But if Lysol felt obligated to issue a disclaimer, then obviously his comment was considered at best dangerous to some. After all, he was POTUS and very influential to millions.

Every politician makes gaffes. Some more than others. Biden is famous, as was Bush the Younger. Obama was more disciplined and articulate, but even he joked about Biden.
The gaffes, depending upon a variety of issues, can make or break a candidate. “Macaca” killed a governor’s race in Virginia a while back.
I think a lot of a candidate’s or office holders success depends on how they respond and timing. Thin skin combined with big ego will invariably lead to failure in the face of an aggressive press corps. And despite the position of many Republicans, all parties are targets. Obama, Pelosi, Schumer, et.al. have been shredded by the media, particularly right wing MSM. So I still think we can put to bed the “raw deal” for Trump. He encouraged outrage for the free publicity. Being criticized was much better than being ignored. So the media coverage seemed lopsided more than it was, particularly considering the might of right wing MSM.

Trump is a sex criminal and pervert. The prurient and not disproven allegations by people speaking to Steele were credible for that reason. The allegations WERE made and they WERE newsworthy.
Trump DID suggest bleach as a treatment for Covid because, you know, it kills viruses.
Trump DID refer to the Nazis with “very fine people, on both sides” and his actions and words since have repeatedly confirmed that his words reflect his attitudes towards such people. Notably, he refused to denounce White Supremacists when challenged to do so in that 2020 debate. Instead, “Stand back and stand by.”
You deny being a diehard Trump supporter, but there you go again pretending he did not say what he said.
