The probability of so many fatal “accidents” happening to important Russian figures in such a short amount of time has become vanishingly small. It absolutely smacks of Putin holding on to power by murdering anyone he suspects of anything less than total loyalty.
This reminds me. I wonder when the next season of “The Great” starts?
Russian politics has been a hardball sport a long time.

Yeah. Also, with the information at hand, why should we assume Putin is responsible? Zelenski or even Biden could be ordering the hits.

“Yeah. Also”
Like all your silly speculations, this one falls apart with even a tiny amount of critical thinking. Why would Zelenski or Biden set off on a campaign of liquidating Putin critics?

To frame Putin.

Biden? No, he would have let it slip by now.

Seriously?
You don’t realize that those olive T-shirts are a costume? The whole thing is right out of “Wag The Dog”

Well, I have seen the movie “Wag the Dog.” I doubt that you have. It is not about a President who has war thrust upon him. It is about a President who seeks to bolster his popularity with a splendid little war. If the theme of that movie applies to anyone, it is Putin who dreamed of bolstering his regime with a splendid little war against Ukraine.

“The Great”
Cute way to try to dismiss the fact that your favorite fascist dicator stays in power through very frequent cold-blooded murder.

Russia is not Virginia. The game is played differently there and they don’t care if we approve.
But Mr Roberts is right that we don’t know if Putin is at fault. There are lots of oligarchs in that part of the world who might be jockeying for position if Putin falls.

I grant you that these hits being done by an oligarch chopping away at Putin is a logical possibility. But only that.
Again a little critical thinking raises the question – if you want to supplant Putin why take out his critics? If you are going to murder people, murder the people who prop him up. Duh!
Beyond that, the survivors of failed murder attempts – such as Alexei Navalny – have no doubt who is behind them. And neither did the dying Litvinenko who was murdered because went public with his role as a Putin hitman.

How better to fabricate regime change, a CIA specialty?

If the Oligarchs see Putin as likely to fall, they will take out their competitors and/or their competitors supporters.

As always, your imagination is quite supple when it comes to justifying the crimes of fascist Leaders you admire.
Me? I will apply Occam’s Razor. Critics of Putin are suffering from Tall Building Syndrome just about every week. Putin has a long history of murdering his critics. Therefore, it is very, very likely that it is he who is murdering his critics this time.

Very, very likely is a long, long way from certain.

It is close enough for government work. Our government should treat Putin as a murderous thug even though there is some tiny degree of possibility that he is really a good and decent guy who would never murder anyone.

I guess we were fortunate that Trump just made up silly names for his critics and then primaried them.
