I don’t know anything about the writer of this brief commentary, except what he says about himself in the piece, but I suspect he represents the point of view of a sizeable number of Russians. He sees the war in Ukraine as the beginning of apocalyptic events, and expresses his belief that “at the ultimate conclusion of this Special Operation, there is no reason why the USA or the EU should continue to exist.”
I don’t endorse the writer’s view, but I expect most Americans would be surprised by the intensity of anti-Western sentiment it conveys.
I think, too, there are very few Americans who take seriously the prospect that the war in Ukraine may become a major turning point in world affairs, with the collapse of Western Civilization a very real possibility.
Either Russia wins or it is the end of civilization! And the signs are there for anyone to see – girls swooning over the Beatles. And, OMG, participation trophies.
You really manage to dig up some truly sick shit, but this one is a doozy.

He starts with a solid foundation, and then builds a pretty fragile castle on it.

“… Special Operation, there is no reason why the USA or the EU should continue to exist. Once they have collapsed and been denazified and reformed…”
So now both the US and the EU are Nazi regimes?
We do have gangs such as Proud Boys, 3%, Oathkeepers et.al., that are our Nazis and White supremacists, so that might affect them, I suppose.
“( pick one or more…) will not replace us.” Perhaps not, but “Putin the DeNazifier” will evidently.

We should all come down off our high horses. This is the same kind of thing that respected NYT and WaPo op-ed writers were producing in the post 9/11 years. Equally grandiose and psychotic.

RE: “Equally grandiose and psychotic.”
Grandiose, maybe, but maybe not psychotic. The West is rich in raw materials and intellectual capital, but our physical economy is somewhat deindustrialized at present and our currency is weakened by enormous debt. Any number of self-created calamities are conceivable.

Climate changes are probably the most serious of the self-created calamities.

No, I 100% agree with this. “Grandiose and psychotic” was referring to legacy media’s coverage of our role in the world post 9-11.
