Memes are a lousy way to understand current events. There is a particular meme that illustrates the problem. It is the narrative that President Trump unleashed an angry mob to attack the Capitol on J6, then did nothing to stop the riot, ignoring all entreaties to do so.
There are a number of ways to debunk this narrative. This timeline from the story at the link is a good one.
The protesters entered the Capitol at 2:12 P.M.
Sixteen minutes later, at 2:28 P.M., Trump tweeted, “Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!”
At 3:13 P.M., Mr. Trump added a note: “I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order โ respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!”
At 4:17 P.M., Mr. Trump posted a video on Twitter of him speaking directly to the camera in the Rose Garden. “I know your pain,” Mr. Trump said. “I know you’re hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us, it was a landslide election, and everyone knows it, especially the other side. But you have to go home now.” He added, “We have to have peace. We have to have law and order. We have to respect our great people in law and order. We don’t want anybody hurt.”
Pretty clearly, J6 was not a Reichstag Fire and Trump was not Nero fiddling while Rome burned.

You left a few things out of the timeline.
1:00 pm Rioters violently attack the outer barricades. It was after an hour and 12 minutes of continuous battle that they reached the interior of the Capitol.
You also left out Trump’s tweet at 2:24pm: “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution.” No wonder they wanted to hang him.
Also missing are the numerous calls from Republicans and even Trump Jr. for the President do more to stop the violence since his tweeted platitudes were not doing the trick.
Trump’s final tweet after it was all over makes it very clear why this happened in the first place. . .
“These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long. Go home with love & in peace. Remember this day forever!”
Anyone who supports a President who would end that day on that note is at best an ignorant jackass. At worst, a deliberate and malicious traitor. In my opinion, of course.

He ended the day repeating his monstrous anti-Constitution LIE, calling the insurrectionists “patriots”, and inciting them to future violence. He should have been condemning them, not praising them.
Your partial timeline only confirms that Trump did virtually nothing to stop the violent attack on the Congress that HE set in motion with his inciteful rhetoric. A couple of tweets with platitudes and mixed messages amount to virtually nothing.
His final LIE of the day is so egregious that any decent, patriotic American would remove all support once and for all. Those that do not are either ignorant jackasses or deliberate and malicious traitors.

He waited over 3 hours while watching the violence on TV before issuing the most inane statement in the face of at attack on our government. But even if you think his statement was good, why did he wait three hours?
A president does actually have responsibility for the safety and security of our nation as mandated by both the Constitution and Congress with applicable legislation.
Do you think waiting 3 hours and 13 minutes is right to call off an attack on Congress in session by his supporters? Then thanking the attackers for their efforts by praising their patriotism?
Is that what presidents are supposed to do?

Fighting started at 1. His tweet was pathetic. Like someone standing at a huge melee and tweeting โbe peacefulโ.
Get serious. He was loving the fact that all these people would attack Congress for him. Congressmen, aides, advisors, FOX folks, and even family members imploring Trump to act.
Then when finally he told folks to go home, he called them โpatriotsโ.

Ted Cruz, who excoriated Trump from 1/6 to June of 2021 and condemn the “violent terrorist attack” no less than 17 times, groveled sickeningly while being interrogated by Tucker Carlson the other day.
His sin? He repeated that 1/6 was a violent terrorist attack.
Now he went against the right wing narrative and they made Cruz, not a real popular guy to begin with, practically beg for forgiveness.
So what are the facts that were not correct in the more detailed timeline provided by Paul?

What in what Paul presented changes anything?
Trump did not incite violence. He askd people to remain peaceful.
Those who did engage in serious violence prepared to do so ahead of time, so they could not have been incited by a speech Trump had not yet given.
Is Trump a sore loser? Yes, And his obsession with his loss is destroying what could have been a great legacy and an unarguable “I told you so”
But trying to overthrow the government?

The speech attacking election integrity had been going on for months, actually years since he did the same “if I lose it was rigged” mantra since 2016.
Why did he wait 3 hours plus to call off his supporters? Is not a president’s duty to protect the nation? Then thanking the attackers for their patriotism?
We now know that team Trump had explicit plans to overthrow the election results, and that a “rally” 0n 1/6 was part of the plan. Is that what a president is supposed to do?

The battle had been going on since 1, where do you get your idea that nothing happened until 2:28? Did he call off his supporters? No, in the middle of pitched battles he tweets “stay peaceful”. Are you that partisan?
This is after telling them that if they did not fight they would not have a country anymore.
After telling them that it was going to be wild days before the rally.
I expect the Trump supporters to try to erase 1/6. Cults will do as they are told.

Good question. And, also, why was there all the craziness that we all got to watch as people couldn’t get an answer as to where the National Guard was? Everybody it seems that were connected with Trump got a major case of ‘Don’t know, don’t care’ that day. It was unbelievable in this country how the White House froze and the guy that should have done something was too scared to poke his head up and ask for help; or at the least get on TV and tell his supporters to go home. Oh, yeah – right – he did do that after wreaking all the havoc he could muster sitting in his safe little room with the sound turned up.
You are right; we do know and we DID know then what Trump’s goal was that day. When a do-nothing president sits watching his TV, cheering on the chaos he begged for and got – everyone with half good sense knows he was just too cowardly to stay anywhere near the Capitol and put a stop to it. He should be behind bars for what he brought down on this country.

You guys are pushing the narrative of a “guided tour” at the Capitol that the president was conducting while Congress was in session.

Generalizations are always clumsy, but in recent years Democrats have waged a war to erase history, in cities where young men and innocent bystanders are shot every night, the primary focus of government is removing statues and renaming schools and streets, as though there is nothing good to learn from the framers of our Constitution if they were men of their times. Everything is viewed through the lens of presentism.
You cannot know your country if you deny its history, good and bad.
Democrats in office, and in this forum, are openly hostile to our Constitution and to capitalism, the basic structure of our country.
Radical change is sought on the narrowest of margins in Congress.
If you love your country, you seek to improve it through consensus, not by imposing the will of 51%.
I don’t know of any instance in which Trump endorsed those who attacked policemen or government employees as patriots.

I have said often that social safety nets, affordable healthcare and education are capitalismโs best friend. Why, because I prefer free markets and innovation. But I also think that the non-investor classes need protection from the economic turmoil that comes along periodically. In addition, innovation needs healthy and educated workers when they need them, not years later.
I have no problem with the Constitution. It is the law of the land. Something those on the right are willing to ignore when it suits them.
As far as Trump calling the attackers โpatriotsโ :

Trump loves one thing and one thing only: Trump. Every time something BAD to Trump, he claimed it was bad for the country. Everytime something good happened to HIM personally , he claimed it was good for the country. He spent four years in office conflating HIS fortunes with that of the country.

The narrative in itself is a big LIE. There was no insurrection to begin with and Trump only asked that people “peacefully and patriotically make your voices be heard”. No mention of violence, no mention of breaking into the capital for selfie ops, no mention of taking over the government armed with cell phones, etc. Only one BF LIE of the left and Pelosi to coincide with midterm elections for dramatic effect. The awful acting of Biden, Kam, Pelosi and the entire left doesn’t even rate as a D rated movie. Sharknado has better acting and plot. Just sayin…

Denial is not just a river in Egypt.
This “bunch of dopes” was explicitly called to Washington by Dear Leader on the day that the election was going to be certified. Their stated purpose was to “stop the steal” by keeping the decisive loser in office. Behind the scenes the inner Trump circle was plotting how they would capitalize on the chaos and intimidation to nullify the election results.
In spite of his years of kissing Trump’s sorry ass, Mike Pence will go down in history for standing up for the Constitution when it counted the most. His rectitude that day took not just political courage, but also physical courage as the mob tried to hunt him down after Trump denounced him to the crowd and in his tweets as the mob attacked.

A violent attack on our seat of government of the United States fits that definition. Period. These MAGA terrorists are lucky to be treated so leniently. The Constitution explicitly permits capital punishment for treason. The wisdom of the leniency shown to the MAGA terrorists may be questionable. The mild treatment given to the Nazi terrorists after their first attempt at a coup in 1923 clearly emboldened them to further acts of political violence. The rest is history.
By the way, your reference to breaking into the capital [sic] for selfie ops shows how not serious you are.
