  1. Things are looking up. Israel is the most vaxed country in the world, about 90%, but the avalanche of cases there may also be the highest in the world. Gee, what does that tell us?

    Other amazing news is that the largest state in India (about 240 million people) seems to have defeated the virus, primarily with hydroxy and ivermectin cocktails.

    One theory emerging is that the vaccines aren’t very good, confirming we should never have bothered with them. Fauci will have more and more explaining to do. .

  2. I don’t know what to make of the source article. The main theme seems to be: “ivermectin is not a miracle cure for COVID-19, and there’s no reason to think it could or should ever be treated as such.”

    Well, darn it! Expecting miracles must be a dangerous national preoccupation where ivermectin is concerned. Would it help any to point out that the mRNA vaccines are not a miracle cure for Covid-19, either?

    I see a conflict of interest in the story. The companies that make and sell mRNA vaccines stand to suffer if alternatives to the vaccines become popular. Consequently, I’m inclined to dismiss the report out of hand.

    1. Vaccines are not perfect. Never have been and might never be. They have efficacy rates that vary from 95% to 77%.

      Is any other drug as good in prevention of serious infection?

      Whatever happened to an ounce of prevention…?

      But I am not convincing anybody about anything, and I won’t bother. I just put out an article that gives some background about treatments tried in the grand effort to avoid the jab.

          1. The “grand effort to avoid the jab” is your gloss on the subject. Is claiming ivermectin is ineffective is your way of telling the unvaccinated to do what you want?

    Which is what Marik asserted as part of the I-Mask+ protocol.

    Ivermectin has antiviral properties that slow the replication of Sars -COV -2 It falls somewhere between Remdesivir and Regeneron in effectiveness I would guess. But it is not a stand alone treatment and wasn’t presented as such.

    It is one piece of a sequence of drugs and supplements administered at the appropriate time in the course of the disease. Unfortunately, some overpromise the drug and others cite studies in which it was used inappropriately as proof it doesn’t work.

    I really don’t know why everything has to be politicized.

    There isn’t enough Regeneron cocktail to treat every COVID patient in the US, much less the world. If we use it for those highest in risk and use the I-Mask+ protocol for those at lower risk. we will get positive results.

    But all-or-nothing either way leads to a lot of nothing.

    1. I think the issue is that ivermectin, etc. are being touted as an alternative to the vaccine. In other words, treatment is safer than prevention among the hesitant.

      Is that a good idea?

      1. Of course not. Vaccine is best, but people still need treatment when infected.

        The point is that vaccine advocates lie about treatments in an effort to leave no other alternative.

        Used correctly, there are treatments that are better than no treatment.

        But if you test a screwdriver by trying to drive nails with it, it will fail. Testing Ivermectin by using it wrong doesn’t mean anything.

          That’s the way I see it, as well. The Bloomberg piece pans ivermectin, but not credibly. That it attacks the reputation of the doctors involved is a red flag.

  4. Here is something that was never explained to us along the way. Emergency Use Authorization can only be issued if a disease or medical problem has no other feasible treatment. So a billion dollars for a covid vaccine could only be realized if the pharmaceutical people could argue, hey, there is nothing else in the whole world.

    So it becomes completely obvious why Fauci and his gang had to go for the kill against Zelenko, the doctor in France, hydroxy, ivermectin, quercetin, or anything else that might be used to treat the problem.

    That’s why we saw all the crazy talk, some of it on this site. It really was all or nothing. That’s why we heard about ivermectin killing people because it was a horse medicine. They pretended to be having a medical discussion but they never were. It was fear porn, as some have said.

      In the same vein, it is noteworthy that all other coronavirus vaccines failed in animal testing, whereas the Covid-19 vaccines were never tested in animals.

      There may be good arguments for the EUA for the Covid vaccines, but there are no good arguments for demonizing the unvaccinated.

      1. I really don’t care that the unvaccinated are spreading and morphing the virus. Nor do I worry about their deaths beyond being saddened by the waste of human life for a gimmick political cause. I am too old.

        However, if I needed hospital space in some of the states where no COVID restrictions were permitted and none were available, I would certainly not be happy.

        And that is the issue. Idaho is already in crisis mode. Real “death panels” have been set up to decide who is most likely to survive. What happens to a major car accident? Exactly. So thank you for your understanding.

            As I have stated before, that particular metric is not being reported anywhere in the U.S. Johns Hopkins reports a related metric which shows Covid patients representing a fraction of ICU bed use nationally:

            In Israel and Britan, as much as 50% or more of Covid hospitalizations have been of fully vaccinated patients.
