Apparently this initiative has been part of the Obama administration efforts since 2015. What happened to stall it since then?

    1. Makes one wonder about the “populist” nature of the right wing of the Republican Party. After 4 years of rule, nothing was done. After all, nuisance trade licensing and non-compete documents are designed to prevent free market competition.

  1. Actually a good idea. I don’t think he goes far enough on occupational licensing but it’s a start. Really belongs at the state level though.

Non-compete clauses are justified in many circumstances.

    1. Non-compete for trade secrets or highly compensated, key employees is one thing. Fast food employees don’t fit either category. It was just another way to tighten the screws on low wage workers.

        1. No problem with that. Judges have upheld those in most cases if they are reasonable. Bottom line is that you can’t restrain someone from earning a living just because.

That’s the key point. Stumble Joe is overstepping.

      1. Republican states haven’t moved the needle either. Helping workers get and pick jobs is not something the states have been interested in either.

        But something has to give:

The work force is shrinking and will be for years to come. Age and immigration cutbacks are paring down the worker size. Plus we lost thousands to COVID.

      2. Stumble Joe . . .

Your insistence on this disrespectful appellation based on a single trip on a stairway is a clear sign of a weak mind. But keep it up. In the event we have visitor who are not yet acquainted with what you have to offer, it will give them a clear heads up.
