The publisher apologizes for lying about Dominion voting machines. Grudgingly probably. But admission of publishing false information is a start.

They got off very, very lightly.
Maybe some of the posters here who frequently spread garbage they find at American Thinker will try a little harder to find reliable sources? Nah! That will never happen. And even though this Dominion crap was at the heart of their claims of a massive conspiracy to steal the election, they will not miss a beat continuing in the same vein.

Note the disclaimer by AT publisher:
“We received a lengthy letter from Dominion’s defamation lawyers explaining why they believe that their client has been the victim of defamatory statements. Having considered the full import of the letter, we have agreed to their request that we publish the following statement:”
The “full import” is being one of the defendants of a multi-billion dollar suit.
In other words, they know they lied, they know they perpetuated a lie and they know they are liable. And after the insurrection attempt, they know they will have to pay up even with a jury trial.
I am not sure, but I think Dominion will forge ahead with suits after Trump leaves office.

I sincerely hope you are right and this “apology” is not the end of it.

Not called the stinker for nothing. They have relentlessly walked a line beyond accurate for years. By and large I’ve quit paying any attention except when some of their BS appears on this Forum.
I have to remind myself that some here discount the WAPO and NYT and opine that sourcing doesn’t matter….

On a related note; the reining in of the mis-information platforms has reduced the BS by over 70%…

Too bad that 75% of Republicans still believe the election was stolen. Until the GOP, en masse, comes out and states the truth, we will have a long road ahead to convince people that our democratic processes still work.

Lawsuitaphobia? A very real fear for Fox, Newsmax and the other sources who perpetuated the fraud myth. Lots of apologies. Hopefully lots of lawsuits to follow,
