Pilot: Portsmouth City manager tries to block police chief

The powers that be in Portsmouth scramble to save thoroughly guilty Senator Lucas and council members.

  1. I just saw this article on Pilotonline this morning. Yeah, the city manager, vice mayor, several council members, maybe the portsmouth lead prosecutor and others all conspired to sweep felonies under the rug. The charges stem from an external independent state police investigation but the conspirators thought Chief of Police Greene would just toss it in the rotary file for them after all that back room discussion. Surprise, surprise, the hornets nest has been disturbed and Patton has pie in her face for promising everyone else she had it under control. Hail to the Chief for demanding accountability no matter who it is.

Do you have a cite for that information because the news article says this, wrt what you are saying.

“She said requests were made for state and federal help to conduct an independent investigation, but those requests “fell outside of the scope” of those law enforcement agencies.”

      1. Read futher….”after State Police ended their investigation July 22″. It is confusing but it appears the “help” was denied but state police still investigated. Doesn’t matter either way as evidence is evidence and there is plenty of it.

        1. Yeah, it is confusing. How can the SP do an investigation if the requests “fell outside of the scope” of that agency?

As far as evidence goes (slightly off topic, but you brought it up), what say you about Bannon, et. al and the fraud charges filed yesterday?
