This link seems to have been blocked for some reason. Yet I can get to it in a WaPo article.

This report was issued in September 2019. Obviously it was ignored, but still…

  1. Couldn’t read at WAPO. but I found it in NYT not paywalled.

What is there for Trump to have to defend? They speculated on a possible pandemic and its economic effects, and then contradicted themselves in February. They didn’t anticipate the actual pandemic.

They did recommend accelerated development and deployment of vaccines, but Trump is doing that.

They didn’t “speculate” they said pandemics will come. Vaccine research would be very important.

No matter how it’s parsed, it does throw the BS flag when the president says “who could have predicted“ such a problem.

I guess when you add up all the warnings from Gates, intelligence, this report, the advice from Obama’s playbook, the drill done by Obama administration for a Trump’s benefit, etc. we can just assume the regime didn’t care.

      1. So you’re saying that Trump and the government should have prepared for a pandemic caused by a virus that did not exist in 2019. Man, your hate for the president is clouding your mind. And yes I did read the article.

          1. I would ask you what you meant by “Bush did” but when I thought about it I really don’t care.

        1. No, this is what I said:

“… it does throw the BS flag when the president says “who could have predicted“ such a problem.”

The predictions and warnings were there for decades. They were emphasized when he took office by the Obama administration. His own intelligence folks had the info early on. He was told in January.

It is not a matter of hate, just expecting a president to pay attention and do his job.

  2. Can’t read the article but if I understand you correctly, are you saying accelerated vaccine development should have started in 2019 or what? Of course we all know 2019 was full of disgraceful liberal attempts to influence the election. You know, impeach, impeach, investigate, investigate, disrupt, disrupt. Of course we all know that Trump already implemented accelerated development but first you need a virus to develop against. Yes, who could have predicted it sums it up.
